Photography and propaganda is gaju! Is this what we will be subject to till campaigns start in 2017? I can imagine the sluggishness in the room. Okororcha, Ameachi, and Oshiomole and all the old hausa people on his entourage. When we have intelligent, articulate and easy on the eyes men who he could have taken with him. The whole group na bunch of clowns.

By the way, Ajimobi is same height as Oshiomole. Why do people say Oshio is the shortest gov in Nigeria?

There are no good hotels that have not been taken up in Bristol. Yet we say there is no money in Nigeria? Buhari should tie his sokoto very well because the war on corruption will be tough. APC, PDP all their children are here. I hear the party in London over the weekend was crazy.

I understand your frustration. GEJ was not accorded such respect cos stealing is not corruption. At least patriotism should make you root for your president and say nice things for once in your life. Anyway, buckle up. You have 3 years and about 9months to be bitter. You and your bitter crew.

      July 20, 2015 at 10:08 pm

@Root, Most Nigerians are illiterates including you. We use the term corrupt/corruption loosely in naija. What GEJ meant was that we let thieves off lightly when they dip their hands into the till and steal by saying they are corrupt. A thief is a thief. A corrupt person on the other hand, could be someone who does things illegally but may not steal directly. Both are bad but distinct.

Unfortunately, GEJ surrounded himself with people who did not understand the importance of PR for their principal. In the real sense of it stealing is not corruption.

      Kapish? GS 101.

People see different things I guess. What I saw, was a Nigerian President who looks self-assured and self-confident (as opposed to perpetually intimidated as we had with his predecessor) when meeting with the leader of arguably one of the greatest countries in the world – 1st time in a long time we have had that.

Where are the young agile, brilliant confidence inducing men in this our country? Surely, not all young men are corrupt? In a country of 170M+ (Dat figure is controversial though. Except you are counting all the cows, dogs, horses, chickens, pepeyes, ram and donkeys)

    Aah, Nigeria ku iranu.

So much hate on here. So ashamed to share a country with some people on here.

Ask yourself – why the hate? Is it because President Buhari is elderly, of Hausa/Fulani extraction, speaks with an accent or simply because he is not from a particular part of the country? You can disagree with a person’s policies but is an attack on a person’s being necessary?

And some wonder why a particular tribe is hated. Irrational hatred of another human being is a disease. Just remember that hate begets hate and everyone will reap whatever it is they sow in life.

I’m embarrassed by all the Nigerians here criticising Buhari and using his tribe to yab him, you lot are quite pathetic. At least come up with more intelligible basis to criticise him. Forget racism, the tribalism displayed here is worse.
And the lady with ‘kikiki’, that depiction of laughter (that exact one I can’t even bear to type one more time) just makes me blank out even when what you’ve written could make sense.

I never called the former President the clueless Ijaw man, so your diatribe does not apply to me. Personally, I do not think he did a good job (time will judge me right or wrong) and will be the first to tell you I am not a fan of the former President, but if I ever meet him I will accord him respect as a former President of my country, same as any other former President.

I respect the position of the President and will of the people. People voted the former President in and the same people voted him out. This is not about standing in a kitchen or heat. This is about respecting others, irrespective of how we feel about them personally. This applies not only to people in power, but it cuts across all relationships and how we treat others.
