Shalom Blac INSPIRES! From being Badly Burned by Hot Oil at Age 9 to Beauty Vlogging

WOW! Beauty vlogger and makeup artist Shalom Blac‘s story is so remarkable. As a young girl in Nigeria, Shalom and her younger sister were badly burned by hot oil.

She tells the story via her YouTube channel.

When she was 9 years old, she was in her mum’s grocery store where she also sold fried food during the evenings. She was tired and wanted to go to sleep. Her mum asked her to sleep in the room inside but when she got there, she was scared by a cat so decided to sleep elsewhere on a table.

Her younger sister was also placed alongside on the table later on.

They both slept until they woke up suddenly after scathing hot oil fell on both sisters.

It was a terrible scene as they were rushed to the clinic but when they were told that there were no doctors on duty.

She fainted soon after…

Fast forward, it was very tough dealing with the scars. Glamour Magazine shares an experience Shalom had  –  “People began to stare at me, or look at me in a nasty way,” she recalls. “One of my neighbors, we used to play together, came in my house and when he saw me ran away crying.”

Eventually, an aunt helped the family move to the United States of America where she had numerous operations.

She was bullied and considered suicide.

Eventually, she discovered makeup and today she is an emerging beauty vlogger.

Watch her tell the story and also see a makeup video by Shalom Blac.

Is she lying? Her mother had a roadside stand where she was frying akara or something. There was no light and her kids were working and sleeping at the stand till 1 am. A vat of hot oil fell on the children.

Where in America will you find this? The vast majority of Nigerian s don’t go to Shoprite.

“The vast majority of Nigerians don’t go to Shoprite” Weezy, where do you guys get these your ridiculous statistics from? Do you guys just sit down and analyze and say total gibberish you’re unsure of? I don’t get it. Smh.

So you just had to pick on that part? There is so much more to her story like why do you want to highlight that out of all the things she shared ? And she is 100 percent correct about the difference so what’s your point exactly? Please don’t distract from her story.

Thanks bella. Remarkable story in a country like the US where a pimple is considered the worst blemish of your youth. So proud she did not allow the bullies send her into hiding.

Shalom! WoW! God bless your brave heart. We even have similar names! And guess what i got into accident too. i got burnt when a candle fell on my bed at 5yrs. Currently 30 and i tell you, life wasnt easy, still isn’t. Growing up it was making friends, then relationships even career wise. My scars hindered me every step of the way. mine is 3rd degree so its not esy to hide it with makeup but i have beautiful, eyes, teeth and legs so i make sure i highlight those assets. People are initially reluctant to meet me but they warm up and tend to forget my scars after knowing me.
God bless you dear for motivating others dear. Id also do in my own small way.
