Champagne Room

There’s a new movie you’ve got to check out.

“Champagne Room”, a film by Olumide Fadeyibi, s a film that binds real life experiences of domestic violence, child abuse, human trafficking, forced marriages, immigration and drug crimes in Glasgow.  Several stories are woven together in and around Glasgow involving interrelated individuals from various backgrounds. Amongst them, is a journalist/political activist known as Igwe who escaped from the jaws of the dictator head of state in his home country to seek political asylum in Glasgow. Unfortunately his case for asylum was refused and now has to face going back to his home country or join the men of the underworld in Glasgow for survival.

As an organization with the purpose of the advancement of the arts, heritage, culture of Africans through creation of video contents tailored for Africans in Diaspora and back at home in Africa, Turn Flicks believes ‘Champagne Room’ has served to provide a platform that further advances the arts, heritage and culture of the African continent. According to them, this particular film has brought together cast and crew members from various African countries to work closely together on the film project.
