#JusticeforBridget: Nigerians Call for Investigation into the Beheading of a Woman in Kano
A woman, Bridget Agbaheme was on Thursday evening beheaded in Kano for “blasphemy’ against Prophet Mohammed.
She was murdered by an angry mob after a disagreement between her and some traders bordering on religion.
Nigerians have gone on twitter to demand #JusticeforBridget from the Police force, Kano State Government, Federal government, and the National Assembly.
The Ohaneze Ndigbo, a socio cultural organization of Igbo people, Kano state chapter, led by Chris Azuka, also condemned the killing and called for a thorough investigation to arrest the perpetrators.
He appealed for calm saying both Islam and Christianity do not support barbaric killing of innocent lives.
Extrajudicial murder of Briget Agbaheme in Kano for “blasphemy” MUST MARK A TURNING POINT. I SHALL STAY ON HER MATTER UNTIL JUSTICE IS DONE.
