      July 13, 2016 at 8:53 am

When will Nigerians be original and authentic??? This is fake and very bad! We are not Americans and must STOP trying to be at all cost.

      July 13, 2016 at 4:17 pm

What exactly are you talking about? Be specific because what I just saw looks good for TV.

    • Jade

      July 16, 2016 at 5:53 pm

This Show is so cringeworthy. It’s just as fake as the wigs on their head. How far are Nigerians going with being so superficial? their fakeness is becoming the norm. Scary.

  2. kaka

    July 12, 2016 at 10:55 pm

This is 17 minutes of my precious life i shall never get back. Seriously low par acting, nothing new here, seriously. corny

    • Bella Bello

      July 13, 2016 at 2:05 pm

PLEASE SHOW US YOUR OSCAR AND EMMY OOOOH KAKA DICAPRIO….MTCHEEEW. I do stage plays, I have done TV…there’s nothing wrong with the acting, it’s about interpretation and I’m sure if the director or producer didn’t get the right shots, we would not be watching this.

    • Princess P

      July 13, 2016 at 3:58 pm

You are just as corny as your comment!!!! Im sure you have nothing good going for you in your life, because if you did, you would spread love and not hate. LOSER!!!!!

  3. Wunu

    July 12, 2016 at 10:56 pm

This look fresh! I like the concept and i love that Efosa he’s so sweet. Not sure about Faradah she looks too fake but i like it sha.

  5. Kamal

    July 13, 2016 at 12:05 am

Hmm… not sure how to feel about this. For a cast of newbies I don’t no what I was expecting… but it seems there’s some sort in there. Could be better but so could every other show out there… good effort

  6. Udegbunam Chukwudi

    July 13, 2016 at 12:12 am

Just like I had an issue with Episode 1 of Rumor Has It, this one too k-leg. Make I comment reserve till episode 2

  7. Truthservedhot

    July 13, 2016 at 12:32 am

Na overskill naim dey kill monkey. For a pilot episode, it did everything possible to turn the views off of it.
Also this show seemed very British i.e. boring.

  8. Corolla

    July 13, 2016 at 12:52 am

Er….okay this is just episode one, so i’ll give ghem one more chance.

  9. onetallgirl

    July 13, 2016 at 1:14 am

this show is dry! the actors are dry! Please remove this rubbish and bring back gidi up!

    • Princess P

      July 13, 2016 at 3:50 pm

Gidi Up didn’t go anywhere. Two different shows on two different platforms. I think your comment is dry. They need to bring back those people who can give constructive commentary.

  10. aj

    July 13, 2016 at 3:01 am

lmaoooo what is this mess? goodness gracious! Thank God I paused it and stopped watching after 3 minutes….fake fake fake especially with the girl kissing the dog and the accents! abegi try again!

  11. abi

    July 13, 2016 at 4:14 am

This was really not that bad. I love Akah. The ham acting is really with the Lolu guy and the ‘bri’ish’ chic. Amaka said “what the hail” in the beginning but I reckon she redeemed herself a little as I watched on.
The general concept isn’t bad. Let’s see.

  12. Angie

    July 13, 2016 at 7:19 am

Hehehe. Still not as drama full as Nairobi diaries.

  13. thanks BNers

    July 13, 2016 at 7:57 am

Thank God i checked comments first, i wouldnt have to waste my data on this.

  14. I_I

    July 13, 2016 at 8:26 am

I see Lolu is the pretend Ari Gold. Lol

  15. Adam

    July 13, 2016 at 8:46 am

Seen it. its aii sha. Make dem put scandal for the matter

  16. Bolanle Olosunde

    July 13, 2016 at 10:05 am

I really think that we should give the series a chance. Just because the concept is different doesn’t make it bad. Most times we watch films and soaps with our own story line in mind and make it difficult for the filmmaker to take us on a beautiful ride full of surprises.

  17. Samuel

    July 13, 2016 at 10:56 am

Ndani TV – GT bank …. Red TV- UBA…Accelerate TV- Access Bank. There’s space in the sky for more birds to fly,but the banks in Nigeria are just too risk averse. There are more sectors of the economy that need investment than media/entertainment, and by the way this episode was boring, all hype and nothing else. Maybe the next would be better.

  18. Mercy

    July 13, 2016 at 11:32 am

?????. Oh kpada ‘ON THE FAKE’ ni

  19. Tunde

    July 13, 2016 at 11:34 am

I liked it. That Maurice Sam guy’s acting was better on Officer Titus sha. Overall I think the plot is interesting, the acting just needs to be more natural. The girl with the purple hair I like also. Could be better 5/10

  20. Baby gurl

    July 13, 2016 at 11:50 am

I don’t know what y’all are on about!! This is good TV a swear. It’s just fiction, people, calm down. The Hills reality show from America comes to mind. I’m pretty sure that was Temidayo’s inspiration behind this but who cares, this is good. Nigerians please calm down with your daily bashing of other people’s effort abeg. Anyway great casting. Every single character is on point. Akah Nani I’m sorry for all the “hate” I love you now looool. More episodes please

  21. iamkoye

    July 13, 2016 at 12:14 pm

Hold on… Bella Naija, I think you should start disapproving some comments. Nigerians abeg you people have no chill. Let’s wait for episode 3 or 4 now and we can judge.

  22. maggie

    July 13, 2016 at 12:36 pm

what are you talking about this TV series looks promising. Nigerians have arrived oh. Btw I love me some Akah. Before I forget people its called ‘ON THE REAL’ they are being real oh

  23. I RUN AMOK

    July 13, 2016 at 12:42 pm

Loooool….Nigerians tire me out. You watch one episode out of a whole season and suddenly decide you are a Steven Spielberg or Ashton Kutcher and so can comment on someones directing and acting. I read the comments 1st and then watched…it’s not perfect but the format is something different from what we are used to seeing in Nigeria. I think the cast and producer and everyone involved had a grand idea…and it’s werking.

  24. Damaris

    July 13, 2016 at 12:50 pm

Positive vibes only na.. Children of God! How far… You people like now now action. See your mouths like its dry, overskill kill am. etc. the casting was good. Akah is real and idima okojie hope I got her name right . Nancy isime isn’t bad either good to see another side of her I think she plays the role. thought she would be the fun one. Ok I shall keep an eye out for episode 2 sha

  25. Outstandng me

    July 13, 2016 at 12:55 pm

We live in a global village and this is a production that is so REAL just like the name of the show. Well done guys, this is a good. More episodes please

  26. Fashionista

    July 13, 2016 at 12:57 pm

Hmmnnnn…….. The aerial shots of Lagos were very nice though.

  27. omoefe

    July 13, 2016 at 1:02 pm

I liked it. Its different and looks promising. It’s just the first episode and it will get better. More episodes please……………

  28. RuggedySquare

    July 13, 2016 at 1:05 pm

Nothing wrong with the pilot. I’m actually looking forward to the 2nd episode.

  29. Fasterfaster

    July 13, 2016 at 1:06 pm

Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Give the show an opportunity! It is a dramatic reality TV show. Let it thrives. This is the next big idea; we all want our ideas to blossom. Well done, Temidayo, I want more of these series

  30. Abosede

    July 13, 2016 at 1:06 pm

I see no major problems with the acting or plot and there’s still the whole season to judge.

  31. Sanyaolu

    July 13, 2016 at 1:08 pm

I know this is going to be interesting. because i so much believe in Ebony life Tv. and anything that comes out from the management. On The Real Is another interesting drama that i will not like to miss any of the Episodes.

  32. Doby

    July 13, 2016 at 1:14 pm

it wasn’t so bad after all…looking forward to the next episode.

  33. Harpenings

    July 13, 2016 at 1:21 pm

This happens everyday. People gossip everyday; people spend money in the club; people pretend to be who they are not; people use power extremely; people are involved in reality TV show; so why can’t it be a drama series? Great job, EbonyLife TV; you are blazing the trail!

  34. Abdul

    July 13, 2016 at 1:27 pm

This is just a pilot. I think most of you have a lot of anger issues deep down kai. I mean yeah it can be better and it will I am sure but this is a great concept. A reality show inside a show.

  35. Yemmi

    July 13, 2016 at 1:27 pm

God have Mercy, when will nigerian ever appriciate Good thing? why all the bad comments?
i think we should apprici8 what we have at least for once i like this and i can’t wait to see the next episode. weldone guys.

  36. Sal

    July 13, 2016 at 1:29 pm

Well to all of you wanting to gouge your eyes out can you honestly say this is not a reflection of the kind of people we have in Lagos. Abeg it is apt jare.

  37. Harry Voldermort

    July 13, 2016 at 1:31 pm

hmmmmm. I see these comments and I raise you mine…all I know is I will try to watch all episodes before I pass judgement on anybody…HOWEVER I will give this episode 75% for effort and difference 😀

  38. Tigris

    July 13, 2016 at 1:32 pm

Oh my!! I think i’m going to like this one. All I see are new faces and its a good thing. We do need something fresh.
Nigerians have talents oh. Kudos ebonylife tv and accelerate. I hope we wouldn’t have to beg BN to see the next episodes

  39. Maddest Guy

    July 13, 2016 at 1:34 pm

This Nigeria self wetin person go do to satisfy una? anyway You can’t satisfy everybody especially the bad belle one’s. stop your bad belle as for me ON THE REAL is the best cos the crew are just too gbasky.

  40. Kolly Jay

    July 13, 2016 at 1:42 pm

These actors are dope! It is the new way to go! Great production for EbonyLife TV by Temidayo. I like her grooming; she will create great TV content in some years. Go for GOLD……

  41. Meaninful Life

    July 13, 2016 at 1:49 pm

if you say you did not see anything good in this wonderful work put Together by Accelerate TV . then i will not blame you because at times life can be difficult for the blind.

  42. Carofol

    July 13, 2016 at 1:51 pm

If you are big, you are big! If you are large, you are large! If you have a Chihuahua then you have a taste. This is the life of Islanders; people in the suburbs of Lagos would not understand

  43. Paddy

    July 13, 2016 at 2:34 pm

It looks exciting. Haters gonna hate on this one. Hahahahah Nigerians and bad belle. Cant wait to see what Akah has for us all. He is indeed Mr Real

  44. Personally Sincere

    July 13, 2016 at 2:38 pm

Which levels, my people. We need to encourage one another now. GIVE IT UP FOR TEMIDAYO!!!!!! She is now a producer. Give us more ‘positively-radical’ content that is different from what we have had for ages. We can’t be left behind in this techy-age jare

  45. Idomagirl

    July 13, 2016 at 2:46 pm

Looks interesting, I hope it isn’t discontinued suddenly like Gidi Up.
But why is the Tolu abi Laolu overdoing?

  46. Omo Coded

    July 13, 2016 at 2:46 pm

You can comment any rubbish or criticize this guys. but you know what? they have done their best and for some of us that knows what it takes to put things like this together we will always appriciate them because when do that it means we are encouraging them to do more. Kudos to the entire team

  47. Amaka

    July 13, 2016 at 2:47 pm

I must confess reading the first five comments put me off. but hey its not bad. it makes sense and its a reality TV show/ drama series. I don’t know what the fuss is all about being negative. Mr Bruno time keeper extraordinaire you are the cause of this. i’m not saying people shouldn’t share their views but I think its the ‘NEW COOL’ bashing people online.Dude you suck! KMFT .. Expecting the next episode jare and yes we want THE REAL

  48. mims

    July 13, 2016 at 4:19 pm

im getting that wanna be Ari Gold (from entourage) vibe from their manager

  49. Naomi

    July 13, 2016 at 5:05 pm

Laugh has almost finished me here….Carofol, you’re so right…People in the suburbs definitely can’t understand the life of people who live on the island. The thing I’ve learnt from this is that people will always talk..You use the popular actors, people will complain, you use newbies…they’ll still talk. You just can’t please people! How can you call someone fake when the person is portraying a character? Na personal vendetta abi na wetin? I just weak….

  50. Kay

    July 13, 2016 at 6:59 pm

I enjoyed watching this! Looking forward to more episodes..

  51. hezekina pollutina

    July 13, 2016 at 7:05 pm

as in lekki 90210? sex in the lasgidi? wetin again….anyway, i like akah, he’s cool. its a bit histrionic but hopefully they will get a bit more real and less wannabe over time…thats my suggestion.

    • hezekina pollutina

      July 13, 2016 at 7:06 pm

oops sorry, lagos is all about being a wannabe, ok never mind, carry on…

  52. Chidi

    July 14, 2016 at 12:40 am

    They need better writers

    • Abiodun Lambo

      July 14, 2016 at 9:33 am

Nah, it’s the acting that’s the problem. Theyr there forming accent. Just imagine them talking normally without all the phonetics and I swear it makes more sense

  53. Tosin

    July 14, 2016 at 4:11 am

    about one minute in:
Visual Chocolate! (the colourful stuff, starting with the opening credits! I wish you could delete the first couple of seconds that say accelerate in relatively dreary design; keep the ‘On The Real’ image longer, and I adore the carpet and everything that happens from there to the couch)
    Intimidating accents. (considered adding subtitles?)

So I’m off to watch. Bet it’ll be nice

    • Tosin

      July 14, 2016 at 4:28 am

Now five minutes in: Ooooh, it’s a parody. Why didn’t they just say so? The fakery IS entertaining, and it happens to be real, in that, some people are really actually like that, like their real is fake, so, the fake is real lol.
For instance the dog part, I would have sworn THAT was fake but nope, it’s EXACTLY what I’ve seen in real life. In this same Lagos. With actual Nigerian people. That act like people they see on TV.
Bush woman like me didn’t know that dogs were for doing mama and pikin role-play. These people even tried, their own dog is not oyinbo. Give dark-skinned dogs a chance please, black lives matter.

The best part so far was seeing Akah enjoying his work-chop. Efosa Efosa, I want to be like you and get a job eating. Epp me.

As before, amazing graphics, amazing visually, the grey accelerate board is depressing, and the show is a hit for its authentic fakeness. YES!

    • Tosin

      July 14, 2016 at 4:37 am

for me sha, i’m quitting early, it’s not my thing. good luck.

  54. Felinda

    July 14, 2016 at 5:24 am

    atrocious to say the least

fake accents and mediocre accent and horrible acting all combined – Keep ya day job

THe illiterates and razz villagers will love it – they dont know any better

    • Yele

      July 14, 2016 at 9:11 am

Madam Felinda. Please read tosin’s comment before she decided to quit the show early though as she mentioned its not her thing. People actually live their lives this way. If its not your thing inganu Bye! Give others the chance to watch you don’t have to say illiterates and razz villagers will love it because they do not know any better. But hey what do I know all I know is our generation is seriously messed up thanks to social media. The show however is ok, lets wait for at least two episodes to judge and we can pack our things and move to the next best thing if that shows up. Taa

  55. Omo Jaye Jaye

    July 14, 2016 at 9:41 am

Felinda Did you just say the show is for the Razz and Villagers? Common dude take it easy now. if you don’t like the drama fine that’s for you but i can assure you there are people out there that love the show why not leave them and let them enjoy the thing before you come here and show the whole world the level of Bad Belenism.

  56. Omo Jaye Jaye

    July 14, 2016 at 10:31 am

Felinda, If you have watch the Drama and you did not like it. why don’t you just keep quiet and let those that haven’t watch it enjoy the it by themselves instead of calling all of us names because from the way am seeing it it seems like you the only one that went to school and the only tush person in Nigeria others are Razz and Illiterate. according to what you said. with your Bad Belenism.

  57. Do Me Weller

    July 14, 2016 at 10:42 am

I Watched it and it was Fantastically Ok Weldone Guys and I thank Accelerate TV for giving us these Young Talented Guys i personally am expecting more lovely things from you all.

  58. Richest Mugu

    July 14, 2016 at 10:47 am

I Like this because of the new faces and the fact that they captured Lagos in and different way Kudos to the Director and also to all the Cast for their job weldone.

  59. IJustgotback

    July 14, 2016 at 11:11 am

Its soo obvious all the comments above are by staff, family and friends of Accelerate TV. LOL!!!! The pilot episode was a mess ejor, stop tryna form positive with the fake comments.

If this was an oge okoye or halima abubakar, yall would diss em. But because nancy isime and akah are in there with fake accents yall wanna use blind eye

    • Skylah

      July 14, 2016 at 12:39 pm

So because they’re articulate, they’re using fake accents? ermmmm…..ok?

  60. Letty

    July 14, 2016 at 2:24 pm

This show was so contrived. It is a no no to use profanity on tv. Children have access to these shows I won’t be surprised if Nija kids have become more corrupt and curse more than American kids here in the USA. Using profanity freely does not make your sure edgier or modern it’s just plain ignorant. Why do Nigerians seek so desperately to emulate what they perceive is American

  61. phummie

    July 14, 2016 at 5:06 pm

Contrived kini? Abeg sit down joo! It’s up to the parent to monitor what their child watches both online & TV. Thank God for parental guidance on TV now. This is for the young adult maybe 20+ not kids so our Hollywood/Nollywood/Gollywood movies nko. No offence but this so called ‘kids’ later become bad because they are caged from seeing what is out there and they become ….. before I am called an Accelerate TV family member let me carry my own and go. All in all sha this show better step up.

  62. Same Me

    July 14, 2016 at 5:29 pm

Make me self talk my own toavoid the stories that touch. guys let’s wait for the second episode now.

  63. Same Me

    July 14, 2016 at 9:01 pm

People should not speak for me you have watch it and you’re complaining please stop telling us the taste of the soup let’s taste it by ourselves.
