BN Style Your Bump: Kim Kardashian West Edition
It’s Wednesday and it’s time for a new edition of BN Style Your Bump, a series where BN Style looks into maternity style from different women to help inspire you! So far we have profiled Chrissy Teigen, Patricia Bright, Kourtney Kardashian, Tamera Mowry, Maky Benson, Blake Lively, Lami Phillips, Nikki Perkins, Lilian Esoro Franklin, Kate Middleton, Teslimat Yusuf, Kerry Washington, Ciara, Ella Mo, Olaide Olaogun, Alicia Keys, Eudoxie Bridges, Anne Hathaway, Melanie Fiona, Teyana Taylor, Angela Simmons, Kelly Rowland and Angelina Jolie – click here to see them glow in style.
For this week’s edition, we have popular reality TV star, fashion and technology entrepreneur, Kim Kardashian West. Kim is married to award winning rapper and notable fashion designer, Kanye West and she’s a mother to two adorable kids North West (a girl) and Saint West (a boy).
Kim has always been popular for her personal style even more so during her relationship with Kanye West after he reworked her closet and took on the job of being her personal stylist. Her maternity style for both pregnancies were slightly different and a little similar to the sex she was carrying at the time.
For her first, she was a bit experimental with her looks, wearing more vibrant colours and feminine dresses while pregnant with North. But by her second pregnancy her style was a lot more understated than the first, Kim had found a formula that worked for her and it’s one continuous trend we’ve noticed in different editions of BN Style Your Bump; a jacket.
The reality star has rocked various styles of jackets; some short but most of them long (reminds me a little of André Leon Talley), but she still stays true to her sexy bodycon dresses and pencils skirts with sheer fabrics, plunging neckline and high hemlines or thigh high slits.
We’ll start with looks from her First Pregnancy
Now we’ll move to looks from her second pregnancy, notice her maternity style formula here. Kim also wore a lot of monochrome looks with the same colour running through one outfit.
Black
You can’t go wrong with a LBD (little black dress) to accentuate the curves created by your LBB (little baby bump). With her body-hugging black outfits and a variety of fabrics, Kim proves you can still look sexy while styling your bump.
White
Love her white looks, especially the cape dress!
Greys, Neutrals & Other Colours
Here you’ll see a lot of monochrome looks in grey, beige, cream, khaki with a mix of army green and black.
Other Casual Looks
That wraps it up for today’s edition of BN Style Your Bump. Don’t hesitate to suggest who you’d want to see next Wednesday and share your thoughts on today’s feature. If you’ve left comment in the past, I’d like to say a BIG thank you for you suggestions and opinions as well.
