Chai – Impatience Doesn’t Pay! Twitter User Recounts Corper getting Swindled at an ATM

Wow! Writer Ada shared her experience yesterday on Twitter about how a youth corper got swindled because of impatience at an ATM.

After crying with him, her takeaway was that patience pays, and impatience doesn’t – literally!

…I’m struggling to feel sorry for the guy, I really am. Not only was he impatient, he’s stupid as well. How on earth will anyone do such a thing in niaja?? Haa
He’s a young man so hopefully this will change his perspective about life.

The guy has learn his lesson. This is common sense and common rule of life. How can you give your atm card to a stranger. Even a grandmama, I don’t trust anybody. Money is sensitive.

Wait what? He gave a stranger? A STRANGER? I mean some people I know give their drivers, helps or personal assistants to withdraw money for them. I would not even do that! Do they can monitor what you have in your account and plan God knows what. When it comes to money please you only know yourself o! As the economy is now you don’t know what people can do for money. Last lesson, patience pays.

The story here isn’t about impatience. In Nigeria, in the world sef, who gives a complete stranger their pin and ATM card? Seriously! This could have happened anywhere from New York to Shanghai. Ah ah. Receive sense now.

@ Iris thank U. As in ehn, some folks tho. I feel bad for the copper even folks overseas will hardly do such a thing with folks that they know let alone a Nigeria ( total stranger). I mean how dumb/stupid can it get???. But some folks tho smh. The mind to do such a thing. Stolen money can’t be used for anything great.

SMH. You people really believe a Nigerian, youth corper for that matter will jeje give his ATM to a stranger?? Come on!

The Youth Corper and the stranger ARE in it together.

The real moral of the story is some kindhearted individual will have pity and give the corper 20k. Use your imagination, say out of 10 ATMs in the area, they’re only successful in 3, that’s a cool 60k for a day’s work.
