This Initiative is open to residents of South Africa and Nigeria only.
You’ll need to be aged between 18-26, available in February 2017, be able to travel to South Africa and not have previously worked professionally in your chosen opportunity industry. If you are entering from Nigeria you will need a valid passport and visa for travel to South Africa.
MTV Shuga will be hitting screens in 2017 for a fifth series, and this time we want YOU to come help us make it happen. The hit drama is shown on a massive 176 channels and reaches 720 million households – and now, for the first time ever the hit TV drama is going to be set in South Africa.

MTV Breaks is on the hunt for some fresh talent to join the incredible MTV Shuga team and work with them on the brand new series.
MTV Breaks is looking for:
• A Photographer
• A Director
Directing a scene of MTV Shuga is going to put you in charge of the whole Shuga crew and get your work seen by MILLIONS. So, we want to find someone who has a real passion for directing, and is looking for their break.
To show us your skill, we want you to email email@example.com with a link to something you’ve directed and tell us what three important qualities you have that you think you need to succeed as a director.
It doesn’t matter if what you send us is shot on a phone, camera, or whatever you could get your hands on. What we want to see is passion and style.
If you make the final shortlist, they’ll be in touch with details about round 2.
If you’re camera-obsessed and always snapping amazing pics at any opportunity, then this one is definitely for you. We’re searching for an incredible photographer who will get a one day exclusive set visit and the chance to take behind-the-scenes photos of the cast and MTV Shuga production.
We want to see how good you are at capturing the fast-paced action of one of SA’s hottest new dramas.
So, to enter, we want you to take a photo of an action or movement, upload it to your Instagram and tag it with#MTVShugaPhotographer.

As well as getting the chance to use your skills as part of the crew of an international TV show, you’ll also be getting:
