The wife of the President, Aisha Buhari, organised a free medical outreach for citizens and people living in Kogi State under her pet project, Future Assured.

The outreach which was aimed at creating awareness for Diabetes, Hypertension, and eye ailments as well as de-worming children, screened and treated about 3,000 individuals.

Aisha Buhari, represented by the wife of Nasarawa State Governor, Mairo Al-Makura, said the initiative is to complement government efforts in providing health care for the populace. Aisha Buhari expressed optimism that the screening will improve the health status of the people of the state, as well as serve as a reminder on the need for regular medical checkups.

The outreach was carried out in collaboration with wife of the state governor, Rashidat Bello, who was commemorating the successful one year in office of the governor of Kogi state, Yahaya Bello.

As well as de-worming children and giving them vitamin C tablets, toothbrushes and tooth paste were given to them to encourage dental hygiene.

Rashidat Bello also urged the people of the state to take advantage of the programme which was at no cost to them and take better care of their health.

When will we ever read that this woman organised such a programme in Lag, Delta, Anambra, Calabar etc? Is Madam president only tied to the North? Useless country!

The north has most of the poor folks so yeah. Also Lagos has done serveral of these programs. Lagos isn’t short of NGOs or celeb-sponsored events.

Now there could be joint collaboration with other states
