“I apologize to all the women… who feel dehumanized by this craft that meant well” – Pretty Mike on Walking with Ladies on a Leash

Club Owner, Mike Eze-Nwalie Nwogu, aka ‘Pretty Mike’ has tendered an apology for walking with ladies on a leash on different occasions.

Today, reports filtered in that he was arrested by Lagos Police under the orders of the Lagos State Government for the “dehumanising” act.

Mike was made to sign an undertaking that he will not repeat the act. The undertaking also directed him to tender a formal apology on his social media pages.

He has done so on Instagram. See what he wrote below:

There has been a lot of controversy over two of my outings holding some females on a leash. I apologize to all the women and the good people of Lagos State, Nigeria and the rest of the world who feel dehumanized by this craft that meant well. I will use other platforms and format to continue to create the necessary awareness…??#WomenRights #PeaceAmbassador ??

So this clothed pig have remorse? so treating a women like that is creating awarness ? you sure have no idea what u have done to yourself. history remains.. to think you are igbo is so pathetic cos we dont treat people this way.. This is what excess money do to rich kids. they simply do not know how to catch the fish without causing comotion..

….this craft that meant well. I will use other platforms and format to create the necessary awareness. I know when someone is remorseful and apologetic. Far from being contrite, the fool is trying to rationalize his actions. He calls what he did a craft. And what awareness is he talking about? Rabid dog!

This dude needs to see a psychiatrist. Something is obviously wrong, What sort of awareness was he trying to create?

If in Lagos, go with her to the Psychiatric hospital in Yaba (Unlike the stigma attached, it is not just a place for mad persons but for all mentally ill persons). Nothing to be ashamed of. Try as much as possible and make it look like a normal hospital visit. They even have Psychologists there.

If interested, I could get you a contact there who will redirect you based on her clinical symptoms.

Best wishes to you and your sister.

      January 12, 2017 at 3:10 pm

OK go and be leashed for cash then. He didn’t force them, true, but it’s a very wrong way to treat your fellow human beings just to garner cheap attention. And if you can’t see why this is dehumanizing and disgusting behaviour, then you may need to check your values.

    • Cynthia

      January 12, 2017 at 4:43 pm

Did you find the girls personally and asked them if they were forced or not? or you just assume it must be consensual to make your sense of reasoning excuse the awful behavior?
Quite certain I did not miss a post on the girls revealing their identity and proudly saying they asked to be leashed and parade around like bingos.

How can you say that? How would you feel if you were at that wedding with your 7 year old child and have to explain to her that that’s the role of women in her country if for some reason they aren’t born in a wealthy home.
Nigerians hate gays even though they’re private but you’re ok living in a country if degrading women publicly is ok

Lagos state need to go find something better to do with their time. I’m not in anyway condoning what he did but at the same time, the females in question are adults and aren’t forced at gun point to do what they did. Nigerian government tend to always mind what is not necessary and leave necessary things behind.

Very proud of Lagos Government but then the things we blame on arts and craft. Every manifestation of lunacy is an expression of art or craft…

He meant well? Silly man just apologise and sin no more. Craft indeed! I wonder what would make those girls agree to be so dehumanised, they look quite young. Glad LASG took it up.

I don’t condone what he did but what is the business of police or lagos state government arresting him? Nigerian government sha, of all the things to do na to go arrest pretty Mike meanwhile there is a kidnapping syndicate in Okene, kidnapping travellers and demanding for ridiculous ransom and the police are in on that and doing nothing about it.. Obodo a nwuru anwu.

In a country where recession is biting hard and girls are hard up, anything goes – But what type of idea of dog leashing on a woman is that, did he get the idea from his family or from western culture. Women are easily lured in all in the name of fun and money, but I am sure they will feel dehumanized without voicing this out.

It is good the government intervened – Pretty Mike should have used his female family members if he thought it was fun!
