Clearance of 661 Pump-action rifles: Wanted Officers have Reported for Investigation – Customs
The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has said that three of its officers wanted in relation to the 661 pump-action rifles intercepted by officers of the Federal Operating Unit (FOU), Zone A, Ikeja, along the Mile 2-Apapa Expressway, have submitted themselves for interrogation.
The wanted officers – Abdullahi, I, with service number 44483 ASC, Odiba Haruna Inah, with service number 133386, and Yola Babakiri Ibrahim, with service number 39009 CSC – fled after the weapons were uncovered
A statement by DCG Dan Ugo, in charge of Enforcement, Investigation & Inspection read:
WANTED OFFICERS SUBMIT SELVES FOR INVESTIGATION
The Service wishes to inform the public that the three (3) Officers earlier declared wanted in connection with the clearance of the 661 pump action rifles have all reported and are being investigated.
NCS remains resolute on its determination to ensure that justice is served to all those involved.
