Atiku Yahaya and Farida Hamza have been arrested by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) for allegedly burning the penis of a 17-year old boy, Ahmad Ibrahim who they accused of raping their four year old daughter, Hannan.

The Commandant of the Corps, Babangida Abdullahi, confirmed the arrest in an interview with NAN in Sokoto on Wednesday.

Abdullahi said that the couple was arrested on Tuesday, at their Sama residence, Sokoto.

“They alleged that the teenager, a Senior Secondary School three students, raped their four-year old daughter.

So, they sponsored some boys who seized him on March 24 (and) took him to the suspects’ house. The suspects severely tortured him and burnt his manhood.

They also locked him up in a toilet up to the following day, March 25.

The victim was later taken to the Specialist Hospital, Sokoto, where he is responding to treatment,” Abdullahi said.

Abdullahi said that the couple were arrested on March 28, for allegedly taking the law into their hands.

The commandant further said that the suspects will be arraigned in court upon the conclusion of thorough investigations.

The Father of the victim, Abdullahi Ibrahim, a Teacher at Sultan Bello Secondary School, Sokoto, appealed to the state government to assist the family in seeking justice for his son.

He also made similar appeal to the Sultanate Council of Sokoto, local and international human rights groups, among others.

“This is like a family affair as my son always took her and two others to and from school,” Ibrahim said.

Ahmad had also denied committing the offence.

Ibrahim said one of the suspects had threatened to kill him in the event that he made attempt to take any action.

The suspects, however, denied the allegations in an interview with NAN.

At least he won’t be trying that again with any innocent kid. Kudos to the couple, I would have thrown down a soakaway or something. I pray the couple meet a lenient and understanding judge.

And what if he is innocent? Would you like to be falsely accused of something and then multilated with absolutely no recourse?

      Thank you.
Next time he will think twice before raping a child.
      Animal.
The boy is still a juvenile at 17, doubt if he would have been prosecuted. This is his own judgement.

I definitely won’t be blaming these parents. Especially if they are sure he did it. There was a case of an American that shot a man dead when he caught him “trying” to defile his young Daughter in a barn . I would do same and worse Sef
