Ask Whoever Announced my Suspension about it not Me – SGF Babachir Lawal to Journalists | WATCH

While responding to a question on whether his suspension is true, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Babachir Lawal said: “Who announced it?” When a reporter responded with “The presidency,” he responded: “Ask them now. Why you dey ask me? Who is the presidency?”

President Muhammadu Buhari, in a statement on Wednesday suspended Lawal and ordered an investigation into the allegations of violations of law and due process made against him in the award of contracts under the Presidential Initiative on the North East (PINE).

Also suspended is the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ambassador Ayodele Oke, who claimed that the huge sums of money found in an Ikoyi apartment belonged to the agency and is for covert operations.
