Sickle cell is a disease really dear to my heart. My uncle died from the disease in 2014 at a navy hospital in Victoria Island Lagos. There was something that was mentioned in this video about sickle cell patients being taken for granted.I was there when my uncle died and i will say he was taken for granted. The hospital was used to him having his crises and this last crises he had was taken for granted. The nurse on duty was no where to be found, she left my uncle dying there on the bed and went to eat, they dint have drugs .I rushed to surulere with his wife to get drugs for him and my the time we got back to the hospital he was dead.He died as a result of negligence.he died because people took him for granted…It is a very wrong attitude Nigerian hospital have towards Sickle cell Disease. This should be addressed
