Kelechi Iheanacho embroiled in Legal Battle with an Agent
Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho is in a legal battle in the U.S with First Eleven Management who is claiming he pulled out of a contract he signed with them in 2015.
According to SUN UK, Henry Galeano who is the company’s registered Fifa-licensed agent had also claimed to be Iheanacho’s former agent. He submitted an affidavit to the court saying him and Iheanacho spent “hundreds of hours” together.
But Kelechi, in a pleading he filed for the court, claims he does not know and never spent time with Galeano.
He claims that he believed Galeano was an alias used by First Eleven Management co-owner Robert Zanicky.
However, the court has obtained photos of Iheanacho and Galeano, who is the company’s registered Fifa-licensed agent, together on different occasions.
It is now Kelechi’s responsibility to answer whether he did more than merely meet Galeano or happened to be with him on occasions, as it is clear they at least met.
If he is found guilty, he could be charge with unsworn falsification, which carries a penalty of up to 2 years.
