Our Love Story

Ronke and I met at a GTBank branch on a fateful day. I wouldn’t say it was love, at first sight, but she’s got this thing for fashion right from the outset as her outfit at the bank was the first thing that attracted me. She looked elegant in her rightly combined outfit. I struggled with confidence to strike a conversation so I settled on asking for a pen and she obliged… Hurray!

I think the tactic worked so I pressed further to ask for her contact, Hm… I got turned down! What! Yes, she just said no. Well, I couldn’t take no for an answer I asked where she was heading to after her transaction at the bank, she smiled and walked out and I thought to myself, could it be that she is shy?

Anyways we both walked out the banking hall and I asked for her contact again politely with a smile this time and a softer appealing tone. She smiled and said “ok, give me your number and I will call you” it took another 2months for the wooing.

Here we are today, 7years up the ladder of acquaintance, maturity, remoulding phase of life through misunderstandings, the variance of opinion/choices. We have conquered the odds to solemnly be one, even our families connected like we’re siblings. In all we give God the glory, indeed we thank God we say “Oluwaseun” and we know it’s only God that has done this for us “Oluwaseyi”
