**This video can be a trigger with strong language and strong sexual discussions**

In recent times Nigeria’s anti-gay laws have been a source of heated discussions with some people standing for it while others stand against it. Some music stars like M.I Abaga have come forward to condemn the law while gay rights activist Bisi Alimi has also called Nigeria a hypocritical nation.

To show the other side of the spectrum, Battabox recently spoke to two gay men, with their identities concealed.

The men talked about knowing they were gay, trying to hide it from their family, their thoughts on the government’s position on homosexuality and their relationships.

Watch the video below and share your thoughts.

But why is someone else’s sexual orientation nauseating to you? People like you disgust me. If I looked at you and told you, that your own decision to do whatever you wanted to do, say for example, your decision to have children or eat ripe mangoes is nauseating to me, how would you like that?
Who someone chooses to have sex with has nothing, absolutely nothing to do with you.
For those of you saying God himself said it in the Bible that homosexuality is a sin, you people need to read how the Bible was written and understand that it’s men like you and I that wrote whatever they wanted to write based on “divine inspiration” and therefore, included their own biases. God himself didn’t write the Bible, heck there are even some bible books that you guys do not know about because the Catholic Church when creating the Bible didn’t see the need to include those. If you guys investigated the history of the Bible, you would think twice before backing any argument with “cos the Bible says so”. Just live your freaking lives and let others do the same please

Wait did the first guy say he discovered himself when he was 6 years; he would hide and suck his cousins penis at night? Ok please let weight in on this. A six years sucking on his cousins how does is that right in common sense; imagine if it was a 6 years old boy and a girl having sex; it is still wrong! I say this to say; if at a tender age you begin to realize you have this urges, my brother, my sister it is a spiritual problem and not a normal sexual origination. You need to seek spiritual help.
However I do not believe they should castigated or stigmatized, they are humans, we need to pull them closer and help exorcise this demon possessing them.

      @Contigo
Continue to be disgusted while you are nauseating your own self.
Be there confusing yourself, the TRUTH will stand strong from this generation to the next ones to come whether you like it or not.

MI is such a hypocrite. I remember him saying homosexuality was wrong because God created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve. And now he’s saying what? Oh please man…

thanks to battabox for covering this issue. i think gay nigerians deserve to be free to love who the want. but homophobic culture in the country is putting them in danger. gays are normal people it takes open mindedness to kniow this.

Which kin danger? Wasn’t Bisi Alimi recently honored at unilag. Denrele has been living his life freely. Bobrisky makes money based on his gay, transdresser lifestyle and talking about his bae(real or not). Na guilty conscience dey worry dem.
They’ve been many gays in naija since forever. Everyone gets bullied, laughed at over something so it’s not gay issue. The law said if they are caught publicly, NOT if they are gay.

Those gays in the closet are hiding because of their own problem and shame not for any “homophobic” environment.
They know what they are doing is wrong that’s why they can’t boldly come out.
Naija it’s not everything west you should copy. Copy ones that will help have a better government, and build your economy.

Leave gays alone, what is happening in the bedroom is not the government’s business. Gays are hurting innocent women by marrying them to cover up their lifestyles

Not sure there a legislation on homosexuality is necessary, but you would never convince me that God / nature intended for a man to poke another man, or a woman to lust after other women. If you can justify this, you can justify bestiality, paedophilia e.t.c

Nature has made it so that sex can be pleasurable for both homo and hetrosexual couples as well as self pleasure. So yes it was intended, it is as natural as nature itself. attraction is innate.
