Ehen o! She should hand over the baby to her family. She should have thought of the repercussions before stabbing that man. Hope it’s not that money has started changing hands on this matter, like that Ibadan case.

    November 23, 2017 at 11:29 am

‘because she has a six month old baby’ ? Did i read correctly?

Our community health team need to improve on early detection. People need to be aware of postnatal psychosis and mental health problems. Rather then querrels, we need to speak out, get treatment early and some havoc happening before realising. She might even be a risk to the child now.

They really need to act fast and take that baby from her before she harms or kills it. Nobody at this point knows her psychiatric state.

@Engoz – She’s not crazy. She’s just a horrible, horrible human being who feels she can do whatever and get away with it because she is part owner of Nigeria in her mind. Her kid should have been taken away from her the second she decided to stab a living breathing human being just because he tripped and fell into a vagina…

@loki Now, if all feminists were as fair and logical like you were in this your çomment and stop being hypocritical and biased like @engoz (who is already trying to project the typical, hypocritical, crazy ,victim angle) ..I john would have been proud to be Feminist but sadly it is not so…evil is evil…simple and short( trying to justify it in any kind of way is the type of behaviour I expect from white supremacists and radical femtards).

Now , this issue is no longer about gender is now about how rich folks get away with bad stuffs in Nigeria..bcos if she was from a poor family ..she would have been languishing in jail right now or even killed by now

@John, @Engoz isn’t being hypocritical. The truth is, the woman MAY be crazy…or she may not. She should sha go to prison and be crazy there. As for being a feminist, you’re more than welcome to join the movement. True feminism welcomes everyone- the traditional and the modern. It’s all about choices. As long as you believe that women aren’t chattel to be bought and sold with no basic human rights, you’re a feminist. It has nothing to do with dominating men and exculpating women even when they commit crimes.

@John, you need a shocking amount of psychiatric help. I can’t even start. You are everything wrong with men. You make me want to cut off my testicles.

    • Engoz

      November 24, 2017 at 4:51 pm

You are a joke and you do not care about the man, You are just here to make a nuisance of yourself. You are not interested in having logical arguments. I have debated with men on this blog who I respect and they respect me too because we both argue from a position of truth. Since you’ve been on this blog there is no logical thing you have said. You are beneath me. So keep quiet and let the adults do the reasoning for you.

Absolutely, but I have my reasons for highlighting psychiatric status which we tend to downplay in Nigeria. The alleged murderer has a six month old, so she just gave birth. There’s a postpartum depression probability which can occur at any time within the 12 months after giving birth. Was there a mental follow-up after she gave birth? A guardian needs to take that baby until we can conclude otherwise.

Chai!!!! The laws in Nigeria only applies to the rich. If she was a daughter of a “nobody”, maybe we would be hearing of her “unfortunate” demise in prison by now

Women aren’t supporting this you know but I understand where you stand. Thing is many women want the world to be super comfortable for them but the world isn’t fair on anyone. That’s just it. Women have their struggle and men have theirs and all the social media hashtags and conventions and conference in this world can’t stop it.

Someone said I shouldn’t do anything because I am a woman. I should do because I am a human being but this case is clearly against that but that ‘someone’ won’t talk now. At the end of the day we will all be alright.

      November 23, 2017 at 1:27 pm

Person no go hear word again if it was a man involved! But because she is a woman and a rich man’s daughter for that matter….

    • Engoz

      November 24, 2017 at 5:08 pm

You people are silly, very silly. When the reverse is the case, you people will go there and be supporting the male murderer.. When the women gang up and give you a nice rebuttal, you begin to cry like a pregnant goat. So no matter how you cry like a, this comment section will never reach ‘100’. Because majority women will not support this woman, and there will be less need for a ‘100’ rebuttals.

If you want less comments when a male murderer does his own, make sure you don’t go there and not support him.

Nevertheless, no amount of this nonsense will change the fact that most violent crimes are committed by men.

There are hundreds of women with babies languishing in Nigerian Prisons all over the federation. I even know cases of women giving birth and raising their babies in Nigerian prisons.

    Corruption of the highest order.

I know how this case will end: she’ll be pronounced mentally ill… Case closed.

I am not surprised Police are talking like this. She is from a rich family. She is from the upper class. They are just confirming that the laws in Nigeria is only meant for poor people.

    November 23, 2017 at 2:27 pm

The Nigerian system is disgustingly corrupt. This is a daft excuse. A 6 month old baby is ready to be weaned. The rich and powerful are really invincible in this country. Please arrest, try and keep this woman in prison for life.

    • Loki

      November 23, 2017 at 2:48 pm

@Baby Gurl – Even if the baby isn’t ready to be weaned, the worst place for this baby is in the arms of a murderous psychopath.

The fact that she has a baby should be the main reason to keep her in prison…lesson learned, walk away from violent/abusive relationships, when it happened once it will happen again….

The man’s family said they are not pressing charges.

The man’s father was a PDP chairman
He was a former minister of Defence

He has the connection and the security backing to do and undo but the girl is lucky cos the man alone for lock her whole family up

The police is only doing damage control.

The day after she was arrested and police was claiming she was in custody, someone on SDK reported they saw her at a plaza in Abuja and I just knew she was going to go free because of her privileged background and the culture that accepts death as something inevitable when God has ordained it. Apparently more people have being seeing her in town is the reason the police is offering this weak defense. Their headache!

Everyone should just be sensible when you so called fall in love. On the same SDK it was reported that the guy dated her as an undergraduate but could not marry her for unknown reasons. then went ahead to marry another.

She however threatened him until he divorced the first wife after 6months and married her. if this is true, . WHY would you marry someone you did not find worthy in the first place because of her threat? You already know he/ she beats you, is stingy, not responsible, smoke, a drunkard yet you will carry you 2 legs and marry him because of love or stupidity!!!!!
Wake up! yes I am talking to you wake now and not in hell!

Secondly they fought, she broke bottle FOR HIM twice, the guy injured himself and had to have hospital treatments, his friends told him not to sleep at home but obviously because he feels that he already understands her pattern of craziness, despite the friends’ advice that he should not sleep at home, he said since everything has calmed down that is the end.

Guy or babe! you dey there your partner dey hammer you everyday you dey excuse am, say you understand each other, dey there o. Na your people I pity. when he kills you like this one and many others your sense will be clear in hell only that the people who truly love you will be the ones to bear the heartache and shame for the next few years or even a lifetime sometimes.

Think twice if you are a DV victim. It ‘s there shame not yours.
