“Obasanjo was playing politics with (his) public letter” to Buhari – Tinubu

Bola Tinubu

Former governor of Lagos State and All Progressives Congress (APC) National Leader Bola Tinubu has reacted to the open letter former president Olusegun Obasanjo wrote to President Muhammadu Buhari, Punch reports.

Obasanjo, in the letter, had urged Buhari to dump any second term ambition.

Tinubu, in an interview with journalists when he visited Governor Rochas Okorocha alongside pioneer National Chairman of APC, Bisi Akande, at the Government House Owerri, on Friday, said he thinks Obasanjo was “playing politics with the public letter”.

“They both had the same background. So, I believe that would have been the conversation of retired military heads of State.

They have unfettered access to each other, either through the Council of State or via any other means. He could see the president privately.

He (Obasanjo) was also his (Buhari) senior in the army. I think Obasanjo was playing politics with the public letter. That is all I see.

They also met at the African Union meeting. He has a way of discussing with the President any time he wants,” Tinubu said.

Tinubu said now is not the appropriate time to speak on the Coalition for Nigeria, inaugurated by the former president.

How do you keep going back multiple times to talk “privately” to someone who hears but does not listen? 2019 all of you should be gone. Tinubu, you are a cancer.

Just of Senator tinubu contributions to Lagos made someone like me to vote for president buhari.sincerely speaking with due respect president buhari is not a party man and he thought by good will he won the election.hence all this biased appointment with hidden agenda and sidetracking of party machinery of which oyegun was party to.what obj said is 70% true.president buhari sidetracked pastor bakare in terms of just pushing his advice forward.if pmb could not guarantee security.if not for the smartness of fayose ekiti would have long become another benue. In as much as tinubu effort for dividends of democracy which ambode has delivered positively well in Lagos for which we value. This can be said of pmb.his appointments were not with proper scrutiny of those whom GOD used to get him elected and it is late for someone like us to vote for pmb again. Since he surrounded himself with people of agenda other than delivery of quality services.pmb has only passed as per boko haram. His key ministers have sinister motive to achieve at expense of secular Nigeria. It is unfortunate
that even those that once served under Senator Tinubu messed up like gov aregbesola with his religious controversies.
This was what he did by rejecting senator adeleke and this led to protest vote.
Senator Asiwaju Tinubu damages done to Apc in attempt to rubbish you and side tracked you.hence this crisis created by non party men brought to power with cunning agenda to eliminate other tribes.
See the havoc in ondo.any average analytical person is commending fayose for acting ahead to abort sponsored fulani agenda. We are happy that ambode has not disappointed at least to say you have good intention for the country.Fulani should have thought it wise to pray for success of pmb but they saw it as avenue to leash mayhem and to plan ground to takeover others property after 2019 which has now backed fired. Why cattle colonies? To wake up one day to attack owners. This set of people could even target their benefactors like Tinubu in attempt to rewrite history.
At least Lagos state shows that Tinubu is for good governance

Jehova will surely remove all the goliaths in Nigeria one way or the other. Some will sleep and not enjoy the gift of waking up. some will just wonder into the wilderness. Sorrow and misfortune will humble and silence some. God is not a man that he should lie.
