Declaring today as public holiday in Lagos, is what I don’t buy into..
I don’t think I will ever understand Nigerian leaders’ rationale behind calling unnecessary public holidays. The president is coming to cut a piece of ribbon on a bus station we should have at 5 of and on that basis everyone should take the day off? It really baffles me.
He is literally just coming to do his job! Nawa
It is highly unreasonable for the government to shut down the economic hubub of Nigeria and declare a work free day just because the president of Nigeria is coming to do his job. If the shutdown was for security reasons it would have made the entire situation more realistic. People literally trekked to work today 8n the hot sun while the president stylishly flew to Lagos and went round with an impenetrable escort. Nigerian leaders and their unreasonable public holidays.
