Maryam Sanda who allegedly fatally stabbed Husband asked for Divorce before his Death - Witness | BellaNaijaMaryam Sanda, who in his court for allegedly stabbing her husband to death, requested for a divorce before his death, Punch reports.

Sanda and her deceased husband, Bilyamin Bello, had according to the witness been involved in a brawl on the day of Bello’s death.

Sanda had demanded a divorce, the witness, Ibrahim Muhammed said.

Sanda held on to her husband’s cloth, Muhammed said, and promised not to let go until he promised a divorce.

He added that Sanda had attempted to stab Bello with a bottle of groundnut, but had been stopped. He said:

We were together watching TV and taking Shisha in their sitting room up till 8 pm on the very day Bilyaminu died.

He went upstairs and didn’t return on time. I started hearing noise, later on, Sadiya, came downstair to tell me that Maryam will like to see me.

I climbed up and I saw both of them holding each other clothes. Maryam told me she needed a divorce and that I should help her to tell the husband.

When I realised Maryam doesn’t want to leave the husband, I used my hand to remove her hand from the husband cloth but the fight still continued.

Muhammed added that Bilyamin entered his room, and his wife followed, insisting on a divorce.

He said he then put a call through to relations of the couple, who came to wade into the matter.

One of the relations, Usmam Aliyu, then told him to leave, he said, saying that it wasn’t appropriate to be “too involved” in matters concerning a husband and his wife.

Later on, one Abba-Bello, a bother to Bilyaminu called me and told me that I should come to the Maitama Hospital that Bilyaminu is dead.

I went to the hospital to meet him lying down dead.

The plot thickens. Guess the guy isn’t the angel ppl make him out to be.

If the witness is telling the truth, it raises the question. Why didn’t he just grant her a divorce given he allegedly had a mistress??? If he had just said fine, he would be alive today.

      Stupid comment

. And typical hypocritical comment from a fish brain.
I guess if a man ask for a divorce from his wife and the wife refused .

He should just kill the wife and everything will be fine

After all, the woman is not an angel and should have said yes

While we are at it ..they should go ahead and release that white man that allegedly killed his wife…

Women and hypocrisy are like 5 and 6

Majority of Nigerian women are dumb as a stone, anyway.

      Logic = 0

I don’t even expect nothing less

Meanwhile, why is this muderer still not in jail..they should hurry up and sentence her to life imprisonment or to death and call it a day.

Hilarious! John calls ME a fish brain. Where in my post did I say she deserved to kill him? You can’t understand logic, but its the woman that is a fish brain.

Keep liking your own comments while chilling in the boys quarters of your parents house. Meanwhile I’m enjoying the wealth I earned with my own two hands. Bye Felicia.

Your hypocrisy is stunning. I just have to break it down.

“Stupid comment. And typical hypocritical comment from a fish brain.”

WHERE IS THE LOGIC in the above? Ad hominem attacks insulting a poster because what they said is paining you. Generalizing one person’s comment to 50% of the population.

And women are ones who lack logic and are “fish brains”?? I am waiting for you to explain how you are logical mr. john. You sound just like Donald Trump – projecting your own deficiencies and inadequacies unto other people. It’s almost sad. Funny thing is if all bellanaija commenters met in real life, you would be the least impressive person in the room. People who bombast and troll like you do never have anything worth talking about offline.

    *TO JOHN*

    (Deep breath..).

Hi John, I really wish you’d try to make comments that aren’t filled with so much hate. 99% of the time, I literally can feel your hatred gushing through your keyboard.

I remember when the news of the Danish man allegedly killing his wife and child was published here, you commented showing happiness. Hian! John, happiness at the brutal death of another human being?! My heart hurt at your comment and I don’t even know the victims, but I cried at seeing your one-liner. Yes. I really did.

We have had a lot of “alternative” commenters on BN, like Bruno, Hadiza, Nene, Chief, A Real Nigerian, Paul Adeyemo etc…They typically introduce some shock factor with their opinions and it can take a while to get used to. But you John…you’re…different. The heaviness after reading your comments can be daunting…and it lingers for a long, long time. You project so much hate into the cyber-sphere that I sometimes want to hope it’s a trolling thing, but it’s been a while now, and it appears that you’re real.

When I’m having a particularly great day, I try not to come to these BN streets and if I do, I stay away from gender-laced articles…just in case I bump into you…and I come completely undone from one of your comments.

You’d like me to get over myself, shey? Me too John, I swear ME TOO! But I’ve been confirmed to be what’s called an Empath. Amongst other symptoms, empaths are affected by things with more intensity than the average human being. The thing taya me sef. But na so I see am.

I will never know your back story John, but one thing I may know is that this is not a joke to you…you genuinely do hate Nigerian women, black women, maybe even all women. Is this not a burden too great to carry around everyday? Or you’re cool with it?

I cannot even believe I typed this long epistle but hey…it’s a slow day at the office so I had spare time. And I’m not even sure what I will get in response to this. For my peace of mind, I won’t come back to check…

I don’t know mannnn…nobody really has the right to ask anything of anyone here…we’re all simply exercising our right to give our opinions on a lifestyle blog…but I couldn’t keep it in anymore John.

Just try abeg…just try and invite love in…and I don’t mean the man/woman romantic type of love…I mean love in the most generic but purest form…the kind of love where even if vexing happens, hate cannot thrive…love must mean something to you…just try…na beg I dey beg you.

    Please.
