Nigerian UK based actor Damson Idris is the cover star of the Evening Standards magazine’s October issue. The star of Snowfall gets candid with the British magazine about his new film Farming– a true-life biopic about Nigerian British actor Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and his encounter with racism in ’80s Essex.

He talks about his experience being on the set of a movie layered with so many race slurs and how his non-black actors will react after each scene.

After every scene they’d come up to me and be like, “Damson, I’m sorry. Are you all right? I’m sorry I kicked you in the face.”

Damson adds that he wants to be a role model to younger people.

Ireally want to be an example of pristine taste for young people. And I’m just planting the seed to play Bond basically.

The movie, Farming which also stars Kate Beckinsale and Gugu Mbatha-Raw is set to hit the big screen on the 11th of October.

On the cover, he serves alte gentleman swag, rocking a pink Coach buttoned silk shirt. In the magazine, he switched things up opting for a two-piece grey and black patterned suit from Louis Vuitton and shoes also from Coach.
