The sixth edition of the New Media Conference is set to hold.

Venue: Glitz Event Centre, Blue waters off Remi Olowude street, Lekki in Lagos.

Themed ‘Re-inventing New Media Through Storytelling’,  this year’s event will feature four-panel sessions. The conference which usually features highly interactive and pragmatic panel sessions and networking will be hosted by TV host and Stand up Comedian, Hero Daniels, alongside Television Presenter and Event Host, Oluyomi Oshisami.

The panel sessions will focus on Storytelling, HR in New Media and cultural exchanges and impact through Arts. Some of the speakers for this year include Media Personality, Fade Ogunro; Senior Broadcast Journalist BBC, Princess Irede Abumere; Creative Director, SO&U Limited, Chris Ogunlowo; Entrepreneur and Art Curator, Aderenle Sonariwo; Filmmaker and Co-Founder,, Tayo Aina; Media Personality and Filmmaker, Wana Udobang and many more.

The moderators are Lydia Idakula Sobogun, Goodness Okoronkwo, Muyiwa Babarinde and Chidi Okereke.

The New Media Conference is a gathering of new media enthusiasts, media practitioners, tech and brand experts. The event gives participants the opportunity to benefit from the experiences of industry experts across the world. In the past, the conference has featured notable speakers such as Fela Durotoye, Tolu Ogunlesi, Subomi Plumptre, Toyosi Akerele Ogunsiji, Larry Madowo, Ameyaw Debrah, MI Abaga, Femi Falodun, Seun Onigbinde, Joey Akan and Chude Jideonwo amongst many.

“This year’s conference is particularly important,” said Tosin Ajibade, the convener of the New Media Conference and founder of Olorisupergal. “We will be taking a critical look at Storytelling and how it has shaped new media and communications in Nigeria as well as what it holds for the future”.

“The future of content is here, and it is garbed in storytelling – the sooner we start conversations around storytelling and its benefits; the better for us all – both as practitioners and consumers,” She added.
