One Week after Suspected Terrorist Attack, Man Jumps Off Westminster Bridge
A man reportedly jumped off Westminster bridge on Wednesday, one week after a suspected terrorist attack left five persons dead including the attacker.
Four persons died and dozens were injured last week after one Khalid Masood drove through pedestrians on the bridge before crashing at the gate of the Houses of Parliament.
The 52-year-old attacker was shot dead by armed police after stabbing a police officer Keith Palmer to death.
According to Dailymail, the incident unfolded ahead of the planned closure of the bridge for a minute’s silence at 2:40pm and a vigil commemorating those killed last week.
The Metropolitan police said: “Emergency Services are dealing with reports of a man in the water near Westminster Bridge. This is not being treated as suspicious.”
