Hi Everyone,
So how was your weekend? Mine was sooo much fun! I went go-cart racing on Saturday…I admit that I didn’t want to go but I am glad that I dragged along ‘cause it was a blast! If y’all haven’t tried it, you should. I also went to see Pirates of the Caribbean – At World’s End……I just saw the first 2 parts last week and I loved them but I was disappointed in this one…..I don’t know, it just felt way too long. That said, it wasn’t a complete waste of time because I have a brand new crush…I never appreciated Orlando Bloom before but that boy is finnnnne! I even have a nickname for him ‘Ollie’ haahha…at my old age right? Oh well…
I was reading through my blog over the weekend and I realized that there are some Nigerian designers that I LOVE yet I have never really featured them on this site. One of such people is Maria Odunsi of MYA. I have loved her clothes for years! Ever since I saw her collection at the St. Moritz Style Selection some years ago. Maria is a graduate of ISL and the London College of Fashion. She also won the Fashion Designer of the Year Award in 2003. Anyways, I am still going to show more of Maria’s stuff in the future but as a teaser, here is the Caroline Chikezie cover of True Love from some months ago. All the clothes used in the shoot were by MYA by Maria Odunsi.

Caroline looks chic. Though her style is as any other I have come across(could be she’s not aiming at creating a niche market), I always appreciate an enterprenueral spirit.
I’m a little curious at to which Bunmi O. did her make-up. Off I go to investigate that….

Bunmi O is Bunmi Olunloyo of staff school, ISL & Unilag. She’s a high demand make up artist now, doing some hot shit here in lagos. She also had her true love spread a while back, maybe Bella will get to it eventually.

i love her short hair but i think mine is cuter. it has red highlights and i look ultra fab

MYA feature is “overdue yet timely”. I know its oxymoronic but it makes alot of sense to me considering that I searched specifically for Mya’s work on ur blog b4 now and disappointly saw only 1 dress – Nike/Omotola.
Brides to be lyk myself know how much sleep is lost in deciding who does what for u – from the dress to make up etc. So far I dont think Ive done badly as Mya is making ma dress and she sure is of a different league!!! I like her originality and the fact that she makes practical outfits. Ojone
