Ovation International held its annual ‘Ovation Red Carol’ event in December 2008 at the Eko Hotels & Suites Expo Hall. This annual invitation-only event is pitched as a celebration on Nigerian music and culture as well as a major fundraising event for various Nigerian charity initiatives. It is organized by Ovation International’s Dele Momodu and enjoys patronage and donations from a wide range of Nigerians including business people such as Aliko Dangote and celebrities including Richard Mofe-Damijo, D’Banj, Stella Damasus, Julius Agwu and many others. From the photos you can tell it was an interesting event. It will be great if we could get access to the charities and charity activities that are beneficiaries of these events. We see so many events that are in support of ‘charity’ but hardly a whisper on the details of what exactly was done. Hopefully we will see more of that in 2009.

I like the ‘aso ebi’ that Ikechukwu, Sasha, Bouqui and so are wearing. Nice one from Bob D. True said, we need to know where d money is going. Would be nice to know that they are not just having these events for the fun of it and claiming its for charity
