Emmy Collins London – Spring/Summer 2011 Shirt Collection
Posted on Wednesday, October 20th, 2010 at 8:12 AMBy Ijeoma Ndekwu
Fashion Designer Emmy Collins has gained quite a reputation for his bold words and his elaborately crafted designs. His shirt collection embodies all that we know and love of the brand Emmy Collins London.
He dabbles with retro florals, stripes, polka dots, plaid, bright colour mixes, solid colour mixes and dark tones and gives them the quirky Emmy Collins charm. We see long-sleeves, short cuffed sleeves and pin bibs. His designs are popularily described as avant-garde, and their flamboyance often appeals to a very distinct personality, however, with this collection we see him extended his identity by opting for more subtle earth tones, dark shades of black and grey, stretching his design appeal to a broader receptive audience.
It’s a great shirt collection, there is his unique stamp on it, he shows variety and manages to step a little out of the box while maintaining his brand identity. I love it when designers choose to feed us with something different and it is all the more exciting especially when it is done right!

I met him at his store and he says his online store will be back up this month. The clothes there are fantastic and a bit expensive as might be expected. I picked up 2 shirts including the last one in the picture set. They cost £120 each, although he may give an online discount when his e-store reopens.
Love love love it.
am a lady but after glancing at this T-shirts i rememba my brother T-Shirt, i dress on them most times with matching face cap, bracelet on my left wrist, most people admires and wishes to be like me, i feel like am dressed on one of this collections so as to market it, to both girls and for guys out their.(especially short sleave)
Nice – but why is the emblem-logo thingy on the waistline area? i don’t get that..
Very nice.Well done EC
Logo around the waist? looks like a palm oil stain, jeez. Other than that, his shirts are fabulous.
nice collection,it kinda reminds of the label ‘Garrett London’, also own by a Nigerian and sold in UK. Good 1 Emmy!
cute
@pocahontas just thought same!!
(to mangement of collins collections!) must every t-shirt have this red logo?
@Asa,I saw ur first comment on this collection and u loved it absolutely, leave it at that looool.he is making us proud
Personally I did buy a few pieces when he was in Naija and I refused to buy those without d logo cos in my opinion there was something cool about d logo that make it stand out.Actually his manager at the time told me d logo was actually silhoutte of Emmy himself wearing a triby hat and afro.
Am so glad he is stil doing his thing, thought he disappeared.
|Emmy if u are reading,I will see u in a few days.
Keep it up
