I found the beat too techno and trend-follower-ish; the lyrics were very repetitive, and the video was disjointed…at first I thought it was speaking against female bashing, but the dance moves (which were wowo btw) and the good times with the boys messed up the message for me. But maybe I’m overthinking it…
I’m glad he thought to make a song like that though…hopefully more Naija artists will believe they can make conscious music and sell records.

You are on point with your comments – but the track is mainly for the European market – some tracks will be liked some may not – with most funky house or house tracks they all seem to be repetitive anyway – the producer Ozzy is a great producer currently working with artist Dare – The message of the video was to send a positive message out there to treat our ladies with respect – it was shot in a way to underline each possible scenario one could get into regarding our mothers, daugthers, wives etc. Not in ONE day but in your day to day life. Watch the video again and replace 2faces character with a man you know brother, friend etc – The dancing towards the end is to celebrate our women

I couldn’t wait for the video to end. I know I could easily have stopped it and moved on, but I kept waiting to be surprised or to find something good about it. It is just there. One of those videos that by tomorrow, you won’t remember you watched. I like the phrase “excuse me sister” though.

I think this song’s message got lost in the dance moves and etc! Tho it was a fast-paced song he should have stuck to no more than 3 scenarios and developed the story i.e. the targeted woman, the bashed female and the mother wiv her kids then expanded rather than all the craziness going on! All that jabajantis dance and those breasteses are for another video. That said, LOVE 2Baba for always doing something diff!!! More palm hoil to your helbows!

lol! I did not initially notice the girl with the boobs either, LMAO! some people have eyes Kongba! lmao! Good song, good video, I’m trying not to let my judgement be clouded by what I know about his personal life. Its hard not to view the song and him as somewhat hypocritical. I had the same sentiments with “African Queen”. Hopefully he has changed his ways.
I like the concept and the video, esp the vibe and dances towards d end.
The most interesting part was the girls’ dynamcs. the dance girls were tight (with all d other african dance). the main girl, on the couch, looks bored, like…Tubaba can we ‘do’ som’n more interesting? so he takes her to d restraunt, but then there r plenty other girls in d restraunt, all ‘obviously’ thinking d same thing – how to i get rid of the main girl and get a piece of Tubaba. the girl with d boobs was d most serious abt it (that look)…they berra get out of dr fast…so they go back 2 d dance floor!
