“Sisters With Voices” Nneka, Sasha and Ty Bello celebrate International Women’s Month on the March 2011 cover of TW Magazine
Posted on Monday, March 14th, 2011 at 11:39 AMBy BellaNaija.com

March is International Women’s Month and TW Magazine marks the occasion by featuring three incredibly talented women on their cover: Nneka, Sasha and Ty Bello. As some of the strongest voices in the industry, the three ladies get vocal about their experiences as women in the music industry — going beyond the massive stages and jet-setting lifestyles to share the truth behind the music.

It is not all about the music though, as TW also welcomes you to their Hatter’s Tea Party fashion spread. Have a relaxing ‘cuppa’, as their fantastic style team invites you to indulge in some delightful fashion. Featuring headgear by milliners John 3v3, Embellish Me and others, as well as clothing by designers including Grey, Sally Bawa, Pearl 11 30 and Ejiro Amos Tafiri, plus scrumptious cupcakes by Hans & Rene, you have pages filled with oodles of sumptuous treats. Enjoy!

Awesome cover, if I may say so myself
I luv their uniqueness, all three of them.
very nice spread and impressive styling. As much as i like EAT’s pieces, I wonder why mention was not made of the Sally Bawa pieces and Pearl 11 30 dresses.
Get a copy of the mag and you will find yourself drooling and falling in love with the Pearl 11 30 pieces.
They looked like they had a good time. Nneka is just soo cute, her facial expression is priceless!
Awesome!!I’ve already saved it!love their facial expressions!priceless
beautiful cover, lola maja the make up artiste is the one to watch out for now….so on point. loves it
Nice!!!
I love †нє pictures…I ave always loved †нє fotografa’s works… Beautiful!!!
nice
compared to the others sasha’s make up was too much…the othere looked so freshfaced and natural….I love the EAT dresses in the second tea party pics!gorgeous
Nneka’s eyebrows are interesting
I agree. most eyebrows are naturally uneven, but madam lola maja the makeup artiste could have evened it out
lol… just had a look. they kinda are
Yup, had to go back to take a gooood look. Them brows are asymmetrical and in all the pictures.how come?
now isn’t it tempting to just jump right 2 d mall or wherever and get a copy of TW magazine now that’s illusion in ENTERTAINMENT which i think they have achieved thumbs up guys
I already got my cover..oops..copy! D articles are particularly inspirational and enlightening. I love TW’s new look btw…rocks! rocks! rocks!
wow..nneka’s beautifuuuul..n her expression’s??2goood!!!
Natural sistahs rock! Gorgeous tresses, and I love the hair pieces too.
nneka looks beautiful these days. but i just feel sad for either of two things: either she conformed to societal standards of beauty and gave up her individuality (in style, clothing) which we originally fell in love with, OR to start with, she never felt comfortable and was dressing like that at the time because she felt insecure and so just threw all caution to the wind, but then now she’s somehow managed to get a grip on what works for her. either way was/is sad… but i hope she’s happy and comfortable now
Ugo I don’t think that’s it, I think it’s maturity. As jambites, we all wore what we liked, by our final year, we’d learned what suited us and had learned to do a better job. I think Nneka is just upgrading and modifying her brand, and I feel it shows an openness and willingness to grow that will reflect in her music
yeah, that might be it… it’s just that her style was soo unique before, not even neutral. but like you say, maybe she is growing and reinventing herself.
what are you on about?
Nneka is soo pretty…!
LOLOL! hope there won’t be another cupcake debate all over again! we remember what happened last time. and the second picture looks like “?????” im not feelin it, at all.
the cover is okay.
mehn NNEKA looks so good …love it!
Lola Maja did a good job IMO, looks to me like Nneka turned up one brow. Nice cover but not great cover.
yes she did
Aaayaaya!!! I love the playful but elegant mix of food and fashion. You hardly see these TWO in fashion spreads. Priceless.

Nneka all day, she is the prettiest here !
You have to admit their style editor did a fab job putting it all together!
U guys, d eyebrows r actually evenly shaped. She raised an eyebrow in the second pic which made it look like they weren’t.
sasha was like over-dressed compared to others……anyways mayb thats the concept…nice pic though
LOL! Concept ke? Ermm nope. I think she was overdressed.
That’s it! I’m sold. I’m going natural…or curly natural? Hei! I hope my hair will conform oh! Hope I don’t come out looking like a wet chicken. Please can anyone tell me how to achieve the TY Bello and Nneka look? Err, I know they have “good hair”; I just want to know the technique. Is it rollers, blow drying…what?
Is that TY Bello’s real hair? It looks like she may be wearing a curly afro weave/wig…
Nice cover! GORGEOUS!
let me tell u what to do to get that kind of hair. stop relaxing ur hair dis very minute and allow ur natural hair to grow, snipping off the relaxed ends gradually with each visit to ur hair stylist. when hair is suitably natural, apply curl activator in general amounts to hair.(i.e clean damp hair) ur hair needs water. so wet it frequently, always re applying the curl activator. and voila! hair like mine
hmm…
@Salama, that is TY Bello’s real hair oh!
I’m loving the revamping at TW. I actually met the style editor at the mag Odun Oqunbiyi at while she was preparing for the shoot-preparing the storyline and she seemed to be buried behind so many books and magazines plus her computer I must say this turned out quite nicely. Kudo Odun and ur team (Tayo) I am definately subscribing now.
@ bubuspice I thought Tayo Shonekan was the stylist I see her name all the time on their work….:s
@everybody else who noticed Nneka’s brow, What I noticed is that in the first picture its her right eye brow that is arched and the left in the second meaning that she’s the one making them look like that by raising them . I am guessing it her unique way of working the camera…hehe or what do you think?
oh most importantly I am getting a copy once I step out today
@ absolutelyalady : actually Odun Ogunbiyi is the Style Editor so she creates the story line, the inspiration/the concept and then works with her team to bring it to life. It’s a whole lot of work that you know, It’s funny cos I was looking at In Style the other day and saw this long list of people that make up the style team and so I have to give props to our indigenous stylists “won try gan”
it”s all good though we are def coming along
grammar correction in first comment: X_x Kudos to Odun and her team…..
Bought my own copy today. Had flipped through a friend’s copy earlier and I must reiterate how impressed i am with the quality of the styling.
Big thumbs up to Odun. Very obvious that she put a lot of thought into it and the execution gets an A from me.
Get a copy of the mag if u can.
The three wise ladies.. I love this its very nice…

The whole styling theme is so fairytaley and being that I am such a sucker for the happy ever after awww. Salut Odun
I love all three ladies, I think they are forces to reckon with, power houses in their own right! Lola Maja is definitely going places, the make up is on point!
