“Dreams are good but reality is better and what thisday has brought a fine dimension of quality a fine dimension of integrity, a fine dimension of color matched together to excellent people to a great event in one night” #WELLSAID
Yes sir, ThisDay makes me super proud
..
AH BN, where is the share button? I want to post this on facebook charply, charply…
Very nice coverage. My only concern: would have loved to have the names of the briefly interviewed personalities by Toke.
I Loved Every Bit Of That!
Bella is a bit conservative so i dont know if you will post this, but in the midst of extreme poverty, unpaid salaries, Thisday/the Nigerian government finds a way to pay Bill Clinton’s speaking engagement fees. I find this painful and brutal.
thisday newpaper is a private firm owned by nduka ,it has nothing to do with nigerian govt. they can pay whoever they want.
Keep telling yourself that. Newspaper business in Nigeria does NOT make money as it used to before. I have been to several Nduka parties and I know that the money he spends is NOT solely from “business” — the government has a hand in it as he is seen as an ambassador the promotes Nigeria’s good image. I’m not judging, just questioning if its good investment to bring Clinton and Blair when millions of Nigerians wallow in extreme, growing, and severe poverty.
Look deeper and you will see our government money involved
not only can this day pay whoever they want….I believe you are looking at this glass half empty instead of half full….Bill Clinton has a wealth of knowledge and alot to offer Nigeria…What you fail to realize is that one woman could have heard something spoken by Bill or Cherie and it could trigger something that could be the beginning of the end of poverty in Nigeria…so my dear friend…learn to start looking at the glass half full…. my 2 cents
where is Toyosi? where is Cherie Blair and all others? if the caption says “Bill Clinton, Toyosi Akerele, Cherie Blair, Mo Abudu & More – Red Carpet Report from the 2012 ThisDay Awards for Excellence” I was hoping there’ll be more pictures. Disappointed much!
Grace Egbagbe is fynn… she’s 60 something and so fit….

I am so happy to hear people voices; and the interviewer is very good; Congratulations for all this women and their achievement; God Bless Nigerian Women
Is it just me or Dora Akunyili is wearing diamonds and sapphire? I thought she was a public servant? Surely her salaries as minister of information and nafdac dg are not enough to enable her indulge in such luxuries…
@xoxo- What has her salary got to do with it? FYI, she is married and her husband is not doing badly, she is a Prof, an author, a consultant and has a lot of streams of income……please know that we civil servants of today can afford the good things of life without indulging in corrupt practices. Thank you
Ngozi- i hear you. I’m sure Nigerians know that behind every corrupt Minister or governor or LGA chairman are tonnes of civil servants. Lagos state civil servants for example, throw the most lavish parties (Gbenga Ashafa, HMO etc etc) In developed Countries, your lifestyle must correspond with your earnings. So what if her husband is a professor? ”not doing badly” wont buy you that kind of jewellery!
Toke is a fantastic !!!!! Thumbs up girl
Mr Obaigbena NEEds to PAY employee salary he owes!!! Other than that he is doing a good job! Toke did a good job!
nothing against mo abudu, i love her show but been dying to say this- i hate the way she talks!!!!!!!!!!!!with her mouth bent to one side…. hiss!
