BN Exclusive: Ghana Fashion & Design Week 2012 presents Media Campaign Lookbook – “Licorice”
Posted on Wednesday, May 16th, 2012 at 9:53 AMBy Ijeoma Ndekwu
In anticipation of Ghana Fashion & Design Week (GFDW), organisers have collaborated with photographer Kyoko Munakata and London-based Ghanaian designer, Beatrice Korlekie Newman for a promotion campaign titled, “licorice”. Featuring Ghanaian models Soraya Akua Khalil and Phyllis Tekyi-Berto as the two protagonists, Director, Daryl Rita Osekreh , creates an atmosphere masked by dim lights which the models warm up with their illuminating ebony skins. The sophisticated contemporary silhouettes of Korlekie‘s add sweetness to the dark atmosphere; exploring the appeal of bitter/sweet flavour of the licorice plant.

The venue and the shoot alone tells me this is not your average Ghananaian show….Bella I hope you can cover this for us to see this show
