Believe it or not, weddings are a big deal in Nigeria.
For the couple, who would like to pick the right outfit, venue and vendor that will cater to the needs of the guest and the attendees who would like to choose the right outfit.
Selecting the right outfit might be a very hard choice and sometimes confusing as you don’t want to overshadow the “lady of the day” – Bride. So if you are confused on what would be appropriate for that upcoming wedding, don’t sweat it, celebrity stylist/image consultant to some of the Nigeria’s biggest stars including Tiwa Savage, Dolapo Oni, Adora Oleh, Waje, Davido and Toolz, Veronica Ebie-Odeka gives us some very useful tips that would make you dazzle at Naija’s favorite Owambe – Weddings!
Watch the “Looks by Veronica” Video: Wedding Edition!
LOl at (Olu) at thats exactly what i thought, but hey im not one to talk I probably do the same. Its a lil hard sometimes to pronounce some native words when youve got an accent. Unfortunately theres nothing new about the fashion tips.
That was very insightful but wearing lace and/or red to a wedding makes it obvious what you came to the wedding for (that is apart from celebrating the special day with the couple). And I feel like if you’re someone’s close friend and they exclude you from the bridal train then you are allowed to wear a black frock, gloves and fascinator to the wedding…because you’re allowed to mourn the death of your friendship lol
I also do not agree with a guest wearing bright red. More times than not, I have seen red is a big “no-no”! Also, why the lace dress was not cute, and looked white, which contradicted the first rule. Overall, she needs to vet her future videos with other fashionistas.
This lady is so overrated, she does not know much about styling. If she is Wajes stylist then i have made my point, for years she styled Tiwa all wrong and the poor girl was torn to bits on various blogs. Bella post ooo.
She is so overrated, she styled Tiwa for years and the poor girl was always torn to bits on blogs and now she styles Waje, we can all see the result on red carpet.Need i say more
Completely agree that theres nothing new or innovative in the style ideas she’s listed. I definitely wont wear most of the dresses she’s shown here thus , it really worrying that she’s actually a stylist…thats just my opinion!
Veronica was born in the states. she came back to Naija when she was about 5/7 years not sure exactly but her 3 younger ones are american citizens as well so I will say 5-7. Returned to the US when she was15. All the years I knew her she went back to the States every year on holiday. Only returned as she is married to a naija boy and wants to contribute her own in Naija. Seriously… na big gal for yankee. So, I think she is actually trying very hard to blend in… allow her to do what she does best and she does do it very we..> her phony no b ability na abinibi. BTW.. Yes she has been my friend from Pry skul…
well done gal… Best of Luck
Africans stop being wicked soul! live and let live. I am sure if this was a sister of yours you would not be commenting. Sometimes I asked to myself …why Africans are always poor, lacking good things, our children are not well fed, our hospitals are this are that? and how come other countries in Europe and even old dirt poor popular China is beating us? because we are wicked wicked soul..that’s why our hair is short, skin dark, poor….we don’t have much…Stop criticizing and learn to appreciate things…if you see an African woman or man who is well dressed, appreciate it, congratulate him, but, don’t put that person down.. unless our wicked hearts are clean, and washed with clean water…from here to 1000 years, we will continue to be the way we are: POOR, LIKE CHURCH RAT, TORN WITH WARS, ARM CONFLICTS…WE NEED TO CLEAN OUR HEARTS, BE ONE NATION, WE CAN…WE ARE STRONG, WE ARE ONE PEOPLE, SHARE THE SAME COLOR, THE SAME TRAGEDY, THE SAME VICTORY..LET’S BE ONE AND STOP THE HATRED….Those who are not happy with my comment then , that is your problem but, i will spit the truth..and the truth is to be ONE STRONG AFRICA FOR ALL AFRICANS..LET’S STOP THE HATING…no need to say this and that…People criticizing ..do you have what she has..? or have her fame? rubbish, nonsense

think she should have finished it off by accessorizing…they look v.plain
I agree, was looking forward to that bit
Seems like an imitation of style star on E! Lovely concept though. More original things should be discussed. All these copy copy things bleh

Is she really a stylist? Those choices are awful. Won’t let my grandma be seen in them!
