The George Kerry Life Foundation Holds Annual Fundraiser for Cervical Cancer Control Campaign in Nigeria – Sunday 16th December 2012

8,000 Nigerian women have died of cervical cancer in 2012.

Since 2009, the George Kerry Life Foundation has run a cervical cancer control campaign which has educated over 100,000 woman, screened over 5,000 women and treated at least 500 women for early pre-cancer cervical lesions.

Every December, in order to garner more support in the fight against cervical cancer in Nigeria, the Foundation holds an annual fundraiser to raise money to keep this campaign running. The fundraiser involves a unique Bake sale/cake auction to raise money.

The 2012 Edition of the fundraiser will take place on Sunday 16th December 2012 and will feature special Christmas cakes prepared and donated by the biggest and best bakeries in Nigeria! Participants include Cakes by Tosan, Odus Martiello, Oh la la, Licious Desserts, Cakes and Cream, Cactus, Tiffany pearl, Delibakes Cakes, Hyacinth & Rosevelt, Roberys cakes, Tiers of Delight, Cake Treat, and many more! Gourmet Dinner will be served with entertainment from veterans in the music and comedy industry, including Mandy. The event which will be hosted by Essence will be graced by Her Excellency, Abimbola Emmanuella Fashola, the 1st Lady of Lagos state.
