With just 8 days to go to the day of Saint Valentine’s, time is running out for you to get that special outfit. Its never easy for anyone to find what to wear on a daily basis, not to mention the “big V-Day”. With that in mind, here are some styling tips to make sure you look every bit as special as your day.
From Friend to More
When going from friendship to something more romantic you definitely want to switch it up a bit. Take on more fitted, flirty and revealing clothes to amp up your usual dose of sexy, telling him you’re not here to play FIFA.
To do this you could try a sheer top that reveals just enough to be feminine and pair it with a flirty skirt. The aim here is to show him your other side; the girlfriend side. You can never go wrong with a pair of heels with a flirty and girly color to reiterate that you’re not his ‘homeboy’ anymore.
From Work to Date
Valentine’s Day falls on a Thursday this year, bummer right? Takes you away from spending the whole day with your ‘Numero Uno‘ to shoving paper work all day. Well, not to worry, you can still make your date looking hot.
For something official but easy enough to change from night to day, you cannot go wrong with a blazer, a cute dress and hot heels to still keep you looking professional. The bodycon dress oozes sexy, once you take off that office blazer and let your hair loose, it would transform you better than the fairy godmother did Cinderella.
Single & On the Prowl
Not everyone likes Valentine’s Day, especially if you’re single; but that doesn’t mean you should stay home in your pyjamas watching re-runs of Grey’s Anatomy. Go out and show all those single guys what they’re missing.
You could hang with your friends and have a “we are single but we’ve got great friends” party, but please be sure to slip away once in a while so guys can approach you, or else you might be doing this again next year.

Exactly. I get that these are just examples that we’re supposed to build on, and we shouldn’t be so literal but c’mon…sometimes it’s like, wait…do we live in the same country? In her defense, maybe she just copied the pictures from topshop’s website, or she just wasn’t talking to our demographic.
If it was to us, biko, be original. Go to clothing stores in Palms or Ikeja mall or somewhere accessible and create mood boards with actual items close to us. Please and thanks.
