finally dark skin babes like us are being recognise, thanks
to Lupita.. Alll the many years i was teased as a child for my dark
skin, thank God peer pressure did not make me bleach. Now i am so
loving my skin and believing the gajillion compliments I get daily
were really true and not pity compliments

please stop with the Dark vs fair skin thing!it’s getting really old and boring!

For long, Our society has deemed dark as ugly and people
have been affected by that. So if she is coming out triumphant to
say she feels more beautiful because black is being
celebrated, please help her celebrate herself and her dark skin and
don’t put her down.We women need to support each other
        more.

The skin color debate should be banned in Africa. Africa,
is a continent where 90% are dark skin. So, being dark skin
shouldn’t be a problem at all. If Nigeria gained independence they
should be free from European standard of Beauty. Europe, where they
    are white, it makes sense.

    @ Jane….pls,i didn’t put her down in anyway…it’s a
general statement…y’all with low self esteem should deal with
it…if people are bleaching the living day light out of their skin
and you want to join….please feel free.my family we’re as
BLACK(dark)charcoal and i’ve never for once wished to be light
skinned!so,it’s ur problem and i think you should deal with it and
stop acting like u created yourself.all that pity story some of you
come on here to say don’t make sense to me.i’m just tired of it
that’s all!and pls no more bleaching talks too..thanks in
    advance

Thank you o. So if Lupita never broke out in Hollywood a
lot of dark skinned chicks would have been going around feeling
ugly? I’m sick and tired of the whole fair vs. dark debate. Just do
you, we all cannot be the same.

I searched to see if she’s Luol Deng’s sister only to find out she’s Alek Wek’s niece. Beautiful people.

  • jay January 19, 2014 at 11:25 am

If it was a naija photoshoot, they for make her face yellow with highlighting and contouring, false lashes plenty too. We need to stop the madness, she is beautiful as she is.
