Jhené Aiko is Married to a Yoruba Angel

When Asian American singer Jhene Aiko tweeted in Yoruba in 2014, everyone guessed she must have a close connection.

The phrase translates to “Get out of my way!”

Well it turns out the soulful songstress is a Yoruba wife, as her husband shared a photo of them at the altar, to wish her a happy 28th birthday today.

Dot Da Genius (real name Oladipo Omishore) is a music producer and he’s also turning 30 this year.

Happy Birthday to my gorgeous wife. Happy to be on this quest w/ you!!!

This Yoruba demon hullabaloo is still cracking my ribs. It took me a while to know the meaning.
I think BN hesperredit the terminology to resurface again and they used Yoruba Angel to counter Yoruba demon. Fun everywhere!, Nigerian politicians no fit take our happiness away from us.

        Pls what is Yoruba Demon?

      • Luqman March 17, 2016 at 6:36 am

@Wanderlust_Trekeffect, The definition was adequately presented by one witty BNer called @Whocares (she no go kill person with her open and close dance symbols) and I quote ” Nah, it’s called “yoruba demons” not igbo demons for a reason. Those guys do their homework, and then use the result to cash in panties. Romance is their stock market. Equity rich for them means babes in perpetuity. They have studied and done their home work well and when the time comes, hmm they will use that knowledge (romance in this case of what the girl or gentleman likes etc) to press those bottoms sorry buttons (double entendre intended) You will be there chanting “wale is a so romantic”, dey there, Wale is merely jacking for his exam and you are question number 1.. 60 more to go in the multiple choice part. looool. Forget romance, ask him to open shop for you. I am really not over this yoruba demon jokes. lmaooo.”

I dated an igbo guy, he is a real definition of a demon. I am neither Igbo or yoruba. Please, stop that phrase “yoruba demons”. It is very irritating.

They have been married for some time now. I remember seeing either that tweet or another one from her and someone asked her how she knew the words and she said her husband is yoruba. This was either in 2014 or 2015. I checked both their instagram pages, wikipedia etc. I can stalk for Africa! And to think that BN just got wind of it, come and HIRE me. *straight face*
And oh, they both have daughters from previous relationships.

  • Un March 17, 2016 at 12:10 pm
