He has the $100,000 voice! Jon wins the first edition of Naija Sings



Jon Naija SingsThe debut season of MNet’s Naija Sings has got its winner and his name is Jon Ogah. The humble yet talented 18 year old beat out all the other contestants at the finale – his voice and stage presence set him above fellow top 3 finalists – Tarila and Tamara. The finale was an exciting and glittering event! There was a performance from Wande Coal and then the Top 3 finalists all performed duets with established stars. Jon with J Martins, Tarila with GT Guitarman and Tamara delivered a saucy performance with Faze.

Jon walks away with a cheque for $100,000 and a record contract with Storm Nigeria. You can see his final performance and listen to his new single ‘We Do’ below.

    Jon is really talented and his stage presence is amazing…was a bit dissapointed tho that tamara didnt win…she’s one hell of a singer IMO….

    Loved him and Tamara the most. He just oozed stage presence like that, glad he won. I see Tamara having even more success than Omawumi, baby girl can sing, period!

    Of all of them, Tamara has the best voice and attitude, tarilah is also talented but kinda timid, John is not so talented but has the looks that u want to see on an album cover, I’m not too thrilled dat he won though, he was just damn lucky. I smell foul play somewhere. Sure u all agree

    Sure agree with you. Tamara remains the best out of the three was so dissappointed she didnt win. Jon is the list.

    pls stop beefing jon,he has a great voice,an electric stage presence,wonderul personia,the looks of a star,fresh look and the kind swagger that is just unique to him.tamara and tarila were very good too but jon was simply in a class of his own.

    yes tamara can sing but so was ovie,who got butted out along the line.if u ask me,id say tamara and ovie were on the same level,strong female vocalists BUT JON IS THE TOTAL PACKAGE!!

    yes,i totally agree wit u,tamara shd have been d winner,but bcos of jon looks,he was voted d winner,i even prefer tarila to jon.but i dont smell any foul play bcos pple love jon more dan any contestant which gave him d ability to win.

    hey tamara cud sings yes,tarila can sing but wasnt 2 physical wth d dance steps.but my own jon cud becoz of his fun who beqt him nd he tok correcton,thumbs up boy =.wish u d best.

    Jon only won cuz of his looks. Fine he can sing but Tamara deserved the money
