When it comes to gospel music.. its a matter of anointing… and anointing pass anointing oh….
Obiwon should focus on singing and less of directing the instrumentalists ( can be done by plenty plenty rehearsal sessions)

    but his energy is AWESOME…

I agree with Funmie. I love Obiwon but this aint working for me. Yes too much energy and passion but his back-up, the flow (or is it the editing), being the conductor (all the hand gestures) aint working for me.

    Energy and passion- superb.

he’s really good, but his backup singers need lots and lots of training.

@ Fummie, if you sang gospel music, you would know that the leader has to sing and direct the instrumentalists. All song leaders do it; people just have different styles. His issue however, was the instrumentalists were behind him and they probably couldn’t see him so it is very obvious what he was doing.

@mma, I agree, he needs new backup singers….they sucked!!!!!!! It sounded like 3 different people singing and it should sound like one person. They each wanted to show they could sing and that’s not the role of backup singers…they need to listen to each other.

Obiwon did a good job…it’s not easy to lead praise and worship and do a medley like that!

He did an Ok job and it’s obvious he’s got something good going. Too bad his energy was out of sync with the audience. Most of them just looking like mumu there. I also doubt he and his band had any rehearsal becos they were not in sync either. I loved the songs though!
