    Ghana isn’t competing this year.

Angola, Botswana and South Africa are easily the most prepared girls here. And that’s what matters at international pageants – PREPARATION. Which most African countries do NOT put effort into, yet pull out the race card when their delegates do not place.

That said, can I get a giant WTF for Sierra Leone’s photo?

PS: I LOVE South Sudan. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE her.

  60. esiri

    July 21, 2012 at 2:48 pm

Some of these comments are so shallow. if the girls on your street and in your village are so pretty, why didnt they come out? abeg keep that info in your pockets. the nigerian girl is so pretty even with a bare face. May the best girl win.

  61. believe in yourself

    July 21, 2012 at 4:10 pm

Even though Agbani made top 10 at miss universe, most of our mutual friends, felt she won’t do as well at the miss world pagent. Agbani was undoubtedly pretty so their arguemt was that she wasn’t pretty enough! She ignored their comments and over a decade later she remains the only black african to have won the MW crown. Why can’t we just encourage our own? SMH

  62. Bianca

    July 21, 2012 at 6:34 pm

I have to say, miss South Sudan is gorgeous. Nothing like a luscious skin with a lovely smile. Miss Nigeria is beautiful, maybe a little too tiny. Miss Ethiopia is pretty. Dang, Miss Angola came in prepared, she’s not playing.

Abeg! Abeg! Abeg! There’s something in the water in Angola! Sheesh! That said, based on current world beauty standards, the likeliest to go far are:
    S. Africa
    and Cote d’Ivoire
In that order. My personal faves are Ms. Zimbabwe, Ms. Naija (I know, pure bias) and Ms. Mauritius but Ms. Mauritius’ photo…sigh…no bueno mami.

I think Miss Nigeria is gorgeous. There’s something about her that makes you smile. However, I think her English doesn’t sound very polished. It would be nice for the organisers to get her elocution teachers. Give her the best chance possible. My two cents.

Well non-English speaking countries win and even if it were polished all the Judges would still hear is an accent anyways so why bother….

Miss Nigeria is beautiful. That picture did not do justice to her at all. she had the least amount of make up not forgetting that enchanting smile. Miss Uganda…seriously? Is that the best the they could come up with? Anyways good luck to all them beautiful ladies. May the best woman win.

Most times our nigerian contestants are very beautiful, and damiete is no exception but their diction is always dissapointing, i wish we would just find ONE beauty queen that has a proper polished accent, without all the tongue twisting, just clean refreshing english(Is dat too much to ask??!!!)…saw damiete’s intro, hm! nuff said.
