    Is this a paid advertorial?
Secondly, if not paid who came up with that title? Would it be fair if i term the person responsible for that title a shameless sycophant?
Thirdly, is this the direction of this blog in this new year?

Thanks for saying my mind…smh…..celebrating corrupt politicians….nonsense!!!

    • Anon

      January 6, 2013 at 1:41 am

Idak that term has been used loosely forever. The quotation marks say it all. The Governors wives are First ladies and their children are First children in true Nigerian style! It’s a wedding and we always shout that we like wedding pictures here so your last question is a bit irrelevant.

Why can’t you just be happy for the new couple? Is this how you enter your own new year? Which such bitterness and disdain..I just added you yo my prayer points mehn

What does Idak criticism has to do with the new couple? It is directed at the editors of BN. Would have been better to share this wedding like any other without trying to make it a statewide event/concern because I’m certain this particular wedding will not affect the lives of the bride’s father’s constituents… It would be safe to say no one rosted a goat because the governor’s daughter got married that day.

    Congratulations to them.
Governor Okorocha is said to be rich before becoming IMO state governor.
He is also said to be doing a good job, so far.

WTH is ‘first daughter’? BellaNaija, would you stop with this sycophancy? You people are part of those contributing to the nonsense going on in Nigeria. And abeg, these your quotation marks thing is overdone already :/
Congratulations to the new couple. May your home be blessed.

@Idak are you still taking ur negativity in dis new year? Isn’t she suppose to be feature or what? I respect Rochas,he loot less than others,I guess!

      January 8, 2013 at 6:37 pm

For some time I thought I was the only one that felt the IDAK guy is constantly negative. I am glad to see other people feel the same way. He never for once has any good thing to say. Constant negativity oozing out from him. He claims he is a Christian and one of his post he states he “is not going to insult anyone or be negative this year. I wonder if this what your God or your Bible teaches you. A pagan does a better job than him. Negativity should be your middle name because that is what you are. It’s all over you.

No apparently it seems the daughter “met” the guy after he was already in her father’s cabinet. Commissioners should have been in place since 2011 when the new govt took office.
Just my thoughts, I dont know the couple, not from the state, and I dont live in Naija sef lol

@Nancy….. I don’ t know how these go in Nigeria but is it not to the benefit of the government when someone runs two posts for the prize of one?
As long as he is not taking two salaries, two benefits, it is actually cost effect to do so. It happens in organized societies too.

Congrats to them. The best man is the Commissioner of Finance, Chike Okafor (humbly very corrupt). The best man is also married with kids and I thought bestmen are usually single but am wrong. Rochas God is watching you!

      January 7, 2013 at 10:52 am

LOL not really, best maid, maid of honor/chief bridesmaid, dont have to be single, the couple can choose whomever they want, that is best suited for the role.

@ omo nla; ‘healthy bride’ is a phrase often used by mostly Igbos to describe a chubby a supposedly fat and beautiful girl. Lol. But really, the son-in-law of the governor is a commissioner in his cabinet holding a strategic potfolio and intruigues. All these parties and politicians are the same

  27. nekiss

    January 8, 2013 at 7:06 pm

Na waoh, I really now know that a lot of people are actually haters. Is it the girl’s fault that she is the governor’s daughter? why wont we celebrate their marriage like we do others. People, it is a wedding post why am i seeing negative comments here? She is the “first daughter” of that state whether you guys believe it or not. And whether her husband is one of the gov’s cabinet is no man’s business. haba! So if you are the governor’s daughter and happen to get involved with a commissioner in the state you’ll break the relationship because of that. I dont know why some people think, they know everything and their opinion should always count. I am really so pissed at some of the comments here. Happy married life to “first daugher and first son-inlaw” of Imo state. Mind you… I dont know them o before any of you haters will start insulting me… One love

I know uloma very well&shes a very humble, uche has been in d family for 15yrs&startd off as a p.a so its nt like he jst came frm sumwher&became a commisioner&deputy chief of staff,so its more like a reward for loyalty.she’s been dating him for a whle now,evn b4 her father became governor and he was given any political b4 u make comments, get ur facts right.i

Oga Rochas useless politics in Nigeria by letting politicians know that it has nothing with parties they belong but good people in it. During his daughter’s wedding the invitation was across party line, all were invited. This is how a good politicians should behave. Thank God for giving us a good and intelligent Governor, most of us living in Lagos will soon be back home.

Quick question: why does it hurt sooo much that the “first lady’s ” daughter is referred 2 as the “first daughter”?

#2: its d governor’s daughter’s wedding and it has been announced as such..infact nt as much…
Is it nt a lot easier to be happy for people that to be filled with so much beef for people that barely know ur generation exists?….quit the Hating…the best u can do is to say Congrats…

Nnenna is very correct, she hs facts. Uloma did j.s.s 1 wit me bfr she left my school. She ws n is still a very humble person so stop d h8ing. Besides she dint make herself d gov’s dauta neither did she put dis post herself and fyi, she’s gt her own cash to spend
