‘Black Radio’ by the Robert Glasper Experiment. Ps…Google is your friend :p

Janelle Monae wears her signature black and white in respect of her parents who were a maid and a janitor and several thousand African American men and women who worked menial jobs where they had to wear uniforms, and do so with dignity. The look does get repetitive, but I think she finds ways to spice it up.
Kelly Rowland and Rihanna looked gorgeous…I like Taylor Swift’s look but her immaturity and constant “poor me, he did me wrong” songs spoil her in my mind. Chris Brown and Nas took it for the men. I kinda dig Estelle’s look, a less busy and maybe floral print would have been better for her tho’…no I don’t think that blue dress is sassy, but I kinda like Ashanti’s look.

J.Lo, Katy Perry, Solange, Taylor Swift, Guiliana Rancic, Griffin, and many others nailed it. Don’t like Rihanna’s, red doesn’t really suit her, esp with that hair colour… and Kelly Rowland revealed way too much Sister! Nas & LL. Cool J did it for me!

Chris Brown, see how u spoilt ur lovely skin with those tatts! Ugly!!! And see how dark hair looks good on u, rather ur blond ish. Can See U and Riri getting it together…

Notice plastic cup on Justin’s hand, No table in front of Jay Z, yet he’s pouring himself a drink, must have been dropping the bottle on the floor and must have brought the drink from home, shey una no dey do table for 2millon like we dey do here ni?! #OkBye

Estelle looks like she just rummaged through Tejuosho market and picked out the most hideous dress. I understand she’s premiering Love Collins’ (upcoming designer) dress and that’s a nice gesture but it’s so ugly! Sigh.

Kelly, Katy, Rihanna are looking G.O.R.G.E.

    i love Kaley Cucao’s Jacket.

Nicole Kidman, Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift look like they’ve worn variations of their dresses before. Too deja vu. Snooze!

I understand Janelle wear black and white as a uniform to honor her parents and her past but for how long? It’s gotten boring, time to reinvent yourself. She reminds me of Django here.

Rihanna looked absolutely gorgeous with dt hair and dress. She can really pull anything off. Kelly Rowland also looked edgy and cool. So Kanye and Kim were busy frolicking in Brazil that they missed the Grammys abi?

    • LibraChic

      February 11, 2013 at 2:46 pm

Kanye West boycotts the Grammys. He purposely didn’t attend, not that he was ‘busy’ per se.

For some reason, Alicia Keys’ events/red carpet outfits just don’t ever captivate me, even though I think she looks the best she ever has. Beyonce looks nice, but this is the Grammys y’all – THE industry event of the year, her look is kinda lazy to me. Kelly, Rih, Katy Perry, Solange hot hot HOT! Ashanti and Estelle – nay. Taylor Swift – *yawn*. JLo – please cover up! As for the men, winners for me are Nas and JT. I was surprised generally how well the men scrubbed up… losers were Sean Paul and the Dream.

Nigerian Celebrities need to take lessons from the Grammy’s, and quit looking like masquerades at events. I know some sensitive person may say something like “oh. why should we copy the western culture” blah blah. Oh well, unless you’re wearing trad to these Red Carpet events, keep your English dressing clean and classy. Simplicity can be EVERYTHING. Embrace your shape, your figure, etc, but don’t turn up looking indecent in a bit to show off those curves. Be Confident, Be Beautiful.

Drake, Nas, Jay-Z , John M and JT brought their A game to the event. Chris Brown pulled off his all white ensemble well.
Rihanna, Kelly R and Taylor Swift looked fab. I’m unsure about Solange’s dress, the sleeves look out of place. Rocsi Diaz; stepped out of the box and i like it. Not feeling Bey’s jumpsuit.
Daddy or Grandpa Jimmy Cliff won a Grammy. Congrats.
I’m still not a fan of this limb out thing. Angelina Jolie spoilt the market.

Rihanna looks beautiful, not feeling the hair and she gave a heart felt performance. Kelly Rowland has all type of “STUNNING” written all over her. Katy Perry’s boobs looks good. Jlo, AGBAYA, nothing appealing anymore. I gotta give LL Cool J some credit, still holding it down after all these years.
