“Bridal Enchantment” – Presenting the 2013 Bride & Bridesmaid Collection by Tosho Woods

Tosho Woods Bridal 2013 Bridesmaids Collection - April - BellaNaija2013012

Every bride wants to feel unique and special on her big day.

The ‘Bridal Enchantment‘ collection by Tosho Woods includes fabulous options for bridemaids and brides who want to dazzle with a reception dress or a simple option for her civil ceremony.

According to the designer, “The pieces were inspired by the beauty of asymmetrical lines seen in most of the dresses and the grace and elegance that comes with a well tailored bridesmaids dress. The collection is themed with mono strap and sleeveless dresses in taffeta, chiffon and lace laden with studded embellishments and sequins. Traditional wedding colours like beige, lilac, peach, mangrove green, baby pink, gold, burnt orange and white were incorporated to give a soft elegance to the silhouettes.

The Tosho Woods Bride & bridesmaid is completely devoted to speaking through her personal style. We only create the pieces for her, she brings them to life!

emmmm….mixed feelings here…outfits looks like they need real ironing….#JustSaying

    • pricey April 9, 2013 at 3:13 pm

no mixed feelings there! those outfits should have been ironed properly….very tacky

      • oyin April 9, 2013 at 5:13 pm

i thought so too. Steam ironing would have given the outfit a cleaner fresher look.

Most of the dresses are gorgeous

    • All about Nigeria April 10, 2013 at 1:39 pm

I though so too… Nothing screamed at me. Don’t really love anything. I like the long red sequined monostrap. That’s all!

  • Hurperyermie April 9, 2013 at 12:34 pm

    lovely styles

  • Nomy April 9, 2013 at 12:35 pm

    Some of them shaaaaaa

  • datnaijachic April 9, 2013 at 12:54 pm

hmm snooze fest, some of his designs look alot like April by Kunbi.. Not really original to me

    • polongo April 9, 2013 at 1:50 pm

and April by Kunbi is the originator of the styles, abi?

  • Debby April 9, 2013 at 1:06 pm

    Well done Dupe… nice one

  • Fashionbabe April 9, 2013 at 1:12 pm

  • BIG UP YOUR LIFE -www.anemistyle.com April 9, 2013 at 1:14 pm

Not sure about this one… on another note use a STEAMER people come on !

  • toluh April 9, 2013 at 1:33 pm

    get an iron fast

  • Sandy April 9, 2013 at 1:41 pm

D outfits look like dey time-travelled from the 90s. And the models are so unflattering! Not the best choice of models am afraid.

  • Priscy April 9, 2013 at 1:54 pm

    No iron???

  • Nneka April 9, 2013 at 2:06 pm

    Iron please!

  • ibro’s baby April 9, 2013 at 2:23 pm

Some of the dresses look ok, but bad choice of models, make up and hair is terrible. Toshowoods how on earth do you model unironed dresses ? Anyway nice try. I love the first dress.

  • Bidemi April 9, 2013 at 2:34 pm

Wow…..designers should start thinking about the presentation on their products. You do a photo shoot without steaming your clothes……very poor judgement.

  • fashionandstylepolice April 9, 2013 at 2:45 pm

    Zero presentation skills.

  • hauwa April 9, 2013 at 3:19 pm

forget the poor presentation skills (from the tacky hair, to the rumpled clothes, to the poses), the whole collection is just a huge mess!! I cannot imagine any of my bridesmaids wearing anything from here..no single thing! The first dress (red sequin) is good tho but not wedding wise. Research more people..do your homework cause this is just wrong!

    • Ready April 10, 2013 at 9:52 am

I’ll just park my comment right here. And add that the photography was very bleeeh. People still use these backgrounds? And the clothes..it’s a definite no. Too much going on around the waist..in this world of suck belle make shirt fine, no designer should still be doing alladat at a woman’s waist.

  • nnenne April 9, 2013 at 3:23 pm

and the background didn’t help matters!!!!

  • Slinky April 9, 2013 at 3:24 pm

Apart from the fact that the clothes need ironing/steaming,d models r blah(zero presentation skills)and there’s absolutely no originality,i fink i lyk the concept of bridesmaids putting on nos 1, 2, 3 and 10

  • PD April 9, 2013 at 4:52 pm

Lovely styles…..not impressed with the models, i’m sorry….

  • Jo! April 9, 2013 at 5:46 pm

  • Trendiest April 9, 2013 at 5:50 pm

The outfits are nice, but not flattering on the models..they need to be a perfect fit to show the beauty and shape of it…some were loose n over sized..

And oh yah, look into ironing it too biko…Presention is everything

  • Ronke April 9, 2013 at 7:05 pm

Nigerians, I hail thee!!! Haba Kilodeeeee, Yes some of the dresses needed proper steaming but why run down the dress designs too. Oga ju, meanwhile some of you can’t even use needle and thread sef.

    • Mo’blezzin April 9, 2013 at 11:58 pm

ehn…if I can’t sow nko??na my job?? person no do her work well, shikena..lol. Abeg lets call a spade a spade jere.
p.s. I liked the white dress in picture 10…

  • R April 9, 2013 at 8:53 pm

Errm.. The red and lilac aren’t bad.
    Presentation, not so great.

What’s up with Peridot & Ruby?? Hardly spot their designs anymore…

  • ima April 9, 2013 at 11:39 pm

    mbok abasi nsidom?……

  • alwayshappy April 10, 2013 at 1:00 am

So my 2 cents is the styling, photography, lighting could be improved upon.

Don’t be scared to use backgrounds that compliment the story you are trying to tell, no background is a safe route but hey……taking appropriate risks has its rewards.

    Well done, good attempt overall

  • lola April 10, 2013 at 11:24 am

Hmmmmm, this same designer made bridesmaid dresses for someone i knw and i heard oooooo, they just couldn’t wear it for the wedding. Hmmmm, designer no be by force o. I’m sure, road side tailors would do better. I just think these so called “designers” need to perfect their skills before giving themselves names and all the publicity.

  • Grace April 10, 2013 at 1:40 pm

The only dress that was ok for me was the no.9 dress if only it was ironed properly. The rest, aint nothing to write home about(Yes i know i aint a designer)buh a lil research before presentation goes a long way. The models…….hmmmmm(bad)the background for the photoshot extremely bad(a studio for a shot like this, wasnt too bad buh it is bad to me).

  • comment waiting moderation! April 10, 2013 at 5:49 pm

Luv three of d collection…but d model don’t really have pretty nose!

  • Hot mama April 11, 2013 at 12:02 am

    @comment waiting moderation…lolll…na d nose dey wear d cloth baa..na wa for u oo!!

  • Jem April 11, 2013 at 6:40 pm

    Horrible presentation!!

  • Tosho Woods April 12, 2013 at 5:11 am

    Dear All,
Thank you for your brave criticisms on our “Bridal Enchantment Collection”. All points raised on presentation have been noted. We however implore you to look beyond presentation and view the actual dresses. They are well tailored and completely Made in Nigeria (Surulere, Lagos). We have a track record of delivering bespoke-fit real bridesmaids dresses (pls refer to toshowoodsbridal.com.ng/Bridal+Gallery). In terms of originality, only bespoke/couture bridesmaids dresses are likely to be truly original, otherwise its not sensible or economical to design/produce truly original bridesmaids dresses. However, we try to make the dresses with a touch of TW. As for the sequined afterparty dresses, thats on trend now! This year has only begun and the amount of orders we have on those, Amazing! Thank once again.
    Kind Regards
    Tosho Woods (PR)
