“Designed to Flatter the Curves” | View the Tai Adeboyeku A/W 2013 Collection

Tai Adeboyeku Collection - BellaNaija - April2013003

This reminds us so much of a classic movie. Created for the modern woman, Tai Adeboyeku presents her Autumn /Winter Collection 2013. The creative mind behind the eponymous brand has worked with Derek Lam, Donna Karan and Catherine Malandrino and this accumulated experience has birthed this detailed and timeless collection.

With each piece having a timeless, classic and textural aesthetic the collection is designed to flatter the curves & silhouette of a woman. The collection is also laden with fringe & backless dresses, structured detailing, trimmings, monochrome sections and bursts of color in lemon, bright pink and grey.

The Tai Adeboyeku woman knows what she wants in fashion and this collection speaks for itself in the quality of each piece.

You couldn’t have said it bette, like the bodice is Maki Oh and the skirt parts are from Bridget Awosika. Its kinda nice actually but the time spent with Donna doesn’t really reflect here. It can be better. Still, I like! Kudos to her 🙂

which curves? nwoo i dont like it period. the dresses are all very unflattering or is it the model. the only thing that took my attention was the interior decor of the studio/shoot

      April 23, 2013 at 5:49 pm

Exactly! maybe it’s d model… she shuda used a curvy chic so we’ll see how “flattering” the dresses r

Why are you a size 14?!

  13. ami

    April 23, 2013 at 1:08 pm

Nice designs but wrong headline, curvy women can’t wear half of the collection. and the ones that can need spandex. under it

Don’t be ignorant. Every woman has curves.. No one is as straight as a ruler no matter how narrow their hips may be. You dont have to be only heavy or thick to have curves. Curves is just a political correct word to define thick, fat, meaty women.

I’d wear all of them! straight up minimalism and clean lines…no unnecessary froufrou.I like

Other than the second piece, I like everything in this collection…a lot. The model’s face and lips were a distraction though…and not in a good way.
I hope they’re reasonably priced unlike Deola Sagoe’s stuff though.

To be honest, I didn’t think any collection could WOW me after Maki Oh’s but damn! this is a close second as far as I’m concerned…..Very nicely understated colour palette and edgy designs. Love that it’s a bit risqué as well which is sooo me 🙂 #lovesit!

I think the model should have used a different lipstick colour in some if the designs to bring the clothes to life… Having said that I really like some of the designs.. Not sure if I wud Rick them cos I’m very busty
