What has Your Favourite Celeb been up to? Check out #WorkFlow – Your Weekly Entertainment News Bulletin

Wale is on his “Suit & Tie” s#@$

I interrupt your regular post entertainment  to give you a special news bulletin. Actually, I’m trying to invent a new column “#WorkFlow” where I can give you all the latest big (and small) ‘gist’ of what’s been going on in the industry.

That is, the ‘news’ news and the ‘not-so-news’ news. Your feedback will be duly appreciated. Why is it called ‘#WorkFlow’ you might ask? I’ll explain that bit a little later.

So, back to the matter, trust me when I say – “Oh! Boy! There is plenty of gist!”. That’s usually the problem, isn’t it? When you have a lot to say, you don’t know where to start from. So, I’ll just got with the flow and see where it gets me.

Just by the way, in the photo above, Wale‘s looking unusually fresh, isn’t he? New look for his next album, “The Gifted” may be?

igbo boy swag

I honestly didn’t think wearing green pants was a good look, but Lynxxx and Alex Ekubo sort of pulled this off.

With Wizkid constantly in the news of late, and as Shaydee‘s official debut single “O poju” having dropped, I’m sure a lot of people have been wondering what’s been up with the other EME wonder boy, the “My Baby” crooner,  Skales. So, I went to get you all the scoop.

Skales new single, “Denge Pose” is slated to drop anytime soon. It already seems like it’s going to be his biggest song so far with the song’s snippet gotten from the following keek, floating around online.

Here’s how Skales feels about it:

Meanwhile, the young rapper/singer continues to put in work as he’ s preparing to musically massacre the industry. With his single, “Hey Mama” still gathering airplay, the artist who entered Akon/T-pain/Lil’ Wayne mode last year, having a large array of features, has been working  with top-notch producers – Sarz, Tekno, GospelonDeBeatz, JayPizzle and more to come up with even more hits for this year and the next.

No! That’s not Skales‘ girlfriend, that’s his ‘Secret Lover’, Ezi Emela. The two young acts aren’t actually in a relationship (at least, not that we know of) but they got cuddly at Illashe at the video shoot for their collabo single, “Secret Lover”{click here for more photos from the shoot}

Anyway, Skales, we’re waiting on you. Moving along, did you guys know Sound Sultan had Ali Baba babysitting during their Dubai trip for 2Face Idibia‘s wedding?

Aren’t Sound Sultan‘s kids, in fact all celeb kids, just the luckiest? They’ll definitely thank him for this later.

Right now, Sound Sultan is out on tour in America and he’s been hanging out with Sah, who plays Fela in the Broadway Musical, “Fela”

He’s been doing shows with Emma Nyra and Iyanya, and Stormrex even pulled through at one of them. {click here}

Iyanya‘s music is really going far and wide. He has a European tour coming up next but for the meantime, check out who he’s inspired – Alex Ekubo, Uti Nwachukwu, Bryan Okwara and more.

Speaking of tours, the new daddy, Naeto C has also been out in Canada, shutting down shows.

This is the point where we take a break from all the ‘gist’ and check out some celebrity fashion.

From tomboy looks to classy ensembles, the Ghanaian songbird always makes looking stylish seem effortless.

Gold is definitely part of the D’Banj look. So, it’s no wonder he’s bringing gold chain impresario, 2Chainz out to Naija for his birthday concert in June.

    April 20, 2013 at 7:08 pm

    NOOOOOO PLEASE. NO NO NO! This is what differentiates Linda Ikeji from Bella Naija. Bella Naija is NOT a gossip blog its an online magazine. There’s a difference.

    • hmm

      April 20, 2013 at 8:02 pm

      I Kinda agree …Keep it classy BN…..unless you want to do a summary or ‘spotted’ about celebrities once a week…..keep it classy tho

    • Hope

      April 21, 2013 at 11:54 am

      All this BN is classy, please. Read the comments on Linda’s blog and also on BN and tell me the difference? Just go to a Toke Makinwa post and read a lot of the vile people write there. Even on a BN event post. People are not just critiquing people’s fashions—all I see on those posts are insults. So spare us all this BN is so much classier! Abeg.

    April 21, 2013 at 1:15 am

    Sope has a point but BN has to pay the bills and this is the kind of stuff that sells. I’m sure their traffic has gone up in multiples since they became more commercial. I know I’ve been checking in daily these days as opposed to my previous bi-weekly routine.

    Now to this new product; I think it has potential but it has to be organized better. Too much going on to begin with and then for some reason half of it is about Skales and his train-wreck fashion? Let’s leave that for another day. I think there should be groupings, for example- ” celeb fashion”, “celebs out & about”, “New Hype (videos/songs/new albums etc.)”, ” funny videos”, ” celebs being random”. Stuff like that; the posts should be grouped and clearly delineated so we know what to expect in each segment and what we’re looking at. Also there are waaay too many videos in this post. BN is not a cheap blog; there has to be some editing going on. Start with what you think makes sense and then cut it by 50%. Less is more!

    I will also second hmm above. Keep it classy BN. Gist sells but editing is what elevates it.
