Nigerian Fashion Label Taé to Unveil its “Sensual Al-Magrib” Spring/Summer 2014 Collection at GTBank Lagos Fashion & Design Week 2013

Eeek! We can’t wait till all the amazing designs strut down the GTBank Lagos Fashion & Design Week 2013 runway which officially kicks off today at the Eko Hotel by 5PM.

As they prep the cameras, do last minute rehearsals and of course get ready to welcome you to the highly anticipated LFDW2013, here is another fashion designer who will be showcasing a new collection at the event.

Taé, the design label from Bisola Edun, will be unveiling its new Spring/Summer 2014 collection titled “Sensual Al-Magrib“. The collection stems from the Kingdom of Morocco, and takes its primary inspiration from any architectures shaped by centuries of cultural influences like the imposing arches and domes of mosques, to furniture and crockery. It combines  the vibrant red orange hues reminiscent of African sunsets with vivid contrasts of yellow, green and blue that form the Casablanca landscape.

The fluidity of the collection evokes languid, sensual nights suffused with the heady, stimulating scents of herbal teas, delicate spices and African cuisine.

The LFDW2013 will be Bisola’s first runway presentation in 7 years and she has chosen to present her most daring collection yet. “The Taé woman isnt afriad to attract attention. I’m almost always looking for an infusion of a ‘wow’ factor in my designs – I call them conversation starters“.

The Taé collection unveiling is scheduled to take place at the GTBank Lagos Fashion & Design Week 2013 on Thursday 24th October 2013 at the Eko Hotel Ocean View, Lagos by 7PM.
