Ebola: FG Receives Experimental Drug Provided by Nigerian Scientist

Abuja (NAN) – Nigeria has received an experimental drug froman  unnamed Nigerian scientist to treat Ebola virus, the Minister of Health, Onyebuchi Chukwu, said in Abuja on Thursday.

Chukwu, who gave the cheering news at a news conference, gave the name of the drug as “Nanosilver.”

“The only experimental drug we have now is Nanosilver, provided by a Nigerian scientist; details of the drug will be disclosed later to the media.

“However, we have 11 confirmed cases of Ebola in Nigeria, out of these, three are dead, Patrick Sawyer, a Nigeria nurse and ECOWAS protocol officer.

“Apart from Lagos, there is no Ebola case in any states of the federation’’, he said.

Chukwu said the suspected cases that were reported in Abia, Anambra, and Abuja were investigated and proved negative.

He added that Cross River was also free of the disease, adding that the nurse who was under surveillance in Lagos that travelled to Enugu was back to Lagos with members of her family for close monitoring.

“Nobody in Enugu has Ebola disease, all cases are still confined within Lagos’’, said Chukwu.

Adienbong Adaga, the Chief Executive Officer, Aliko Dangote Foundation, announced the donation of N150 million for the Ebola Emergency Operation Centre in Lagos.

She urged other philanthropists in the country to support government financially to curb the spread of the virus.

Labaran Maku, the Minister of Information, thanked the donor and urged all Nigerians to emulate the gesture.

He also thanked international partners for their donations, saying that government was doing everything possible to ensure that the disease did not escalate.

Hope the drug works, but why is the scientist choosing to go unnamed?

It’s a scam. This is no other than colloïdale silver which can be found for very cheap in most health stores in the US and UK.

It could or could not have any benefits on the health, but my initial research on this doesn’t show anything impressive.

Please do more research on this! It’s your duty!)

As the medical doctor who wrote that Ebola was inactivated by Nano Silver to the President of Nigeria and the Minister of Health as well as the Presidents and Ministers of Heath of the other afflicted nations, I would be delighted to be contacted by you so that you can publish the full picture about how Nano Silver can be used for health promotion in Ebola and beyond it.
If people will go to… they can download my Protocol for both prevention and use in an exposure situation.

A scientist with no name? How come you are shrouded in secrecy if you have a genuine cure for Ebola. America did not hid the company identity there was transparency and Nigeria is hiding theirs so they can kill more people and no one is held accountable. If Nanosilver is a medical breakthrough for Ebola then, the world should know about it because it would be published in the medical journals and this mystery scienctist would be courted by every pharmaceutical company in the world. Abeg Nanosilver go and don’t compound our problem until we know who and what your background is. Thank you .

But it wasn’t sound very convinced, that the drug called ”Nanosilver” is working. Why i said dis is b’cos, the name of the scientists was unknown, is it a ghost? if truely dis this drug is working effectively, why must he hide his self? How could someone says something is working for so, so, thing. Without knowong it source. An the person who discovere it, beside, how tested is d drug? How many Ebola patients dt ave been cured true this drug? Dis are the question will should ask our self.

Nanosilver is a know drug for more than 10yrs now .I know it antibacterial and antifungal in action and not antiviral. Ebola is a virus , an RNA virus that can work on its own by rapidly taking over the immune system of the patient. I hope the minister still remember his virology very well.
the said drug is very very toxic too. you can google it

Let us not be stupid, just make sure it works. A Nigerian scientist in the UK working in research discovered a cure for a major disease which has been blocked from release by the big Pharma group sponsoring the research so maximum profits can be made upon release. Any anonymity can simply be to protect more ethical/scientist’s with a soul from prosecution! Nigeria is currently dealing with Boko Haram Terrorism and America has sent troops to liberate girls who still cannot be found even with British and French intervention (by the way, none of these troops have left Nigeria since the Ebola outbreak). Upcoming 2015 elections which America has predicted will disintegrate/destabilise Nigeria. China and even Australia offering to come and tackle Boko Haram! Now Ebola! Brought into the country by a reckless American/Liberian BIOHAZARD TERRORIST! Anyone with an ounce of common sense can see we must be vigilant! Oh! Lest I forget MONSANTO in the midst of this madness has signed a $500M deal to introduce GM crops to one of the most fertile countries in Africa! Yes, NIGERIA. To every nation and individual that is a detractor to the nation Nigeria, May your destruction and death be as swift as SAWYER’s. As much as it may not be possible for our government to fight every battle, we shall hold our peace and you can contend with the ‘I AM’ – YHVH

America comes up with an experimental drug, everyone wants it. Everyone blames naija for coming up with nothing. A Nigerian comes up with an experimental drug everyone is wary. They are both experimental besides what choice does an Ebola patient have.

Please God save us from foolishly stupid leaders who do not have any iota of intelligence, like the one we have in Aso Rock. When the country is on the brink of a massive epidemic our dear president has sacked resident doctors who can or will invariably be supportive doctors during this Ebola outbreak. Exactly what amount of money are they asking for that our oil rich country can not handle? Is one necklace on madam jonathan’s neck not enough to settle their greviances monthly? Is it not this very government that is siphoning billions of dollars out of the country monthly to offshore accounts via diezenie’s and her cronies? How much are the senators and reps earning and what difference have they made in the past 4 years? This is the most ill advised move by this president ever. They still don’t get it! Can you imagine how much worst this epidemic will become when electioneering begins. All those people in close contacts. And he goes ahead and fires the young men and women he should be training and preparing intensively on how to combat what will soon become a monster wahala for his administration, the region and the continent.

Something is always better than nothing. A trial drug is better than waiting for victims to die. Besides, what’s the difference between this and Zmapp? Both are experimental.

    August 15, 2014 at 3:54 pm

For those asking why the scientist is un-named, he/she is safer so. This ebola virus is bigger than what we think it is….Have you noticed how quiet CNN is about how it came into Nigeria? They’re quite because it came in through an American citizen. And I’m beginning to believe Fani Kayode’s thoery about him being on a suicide/terrorist mission….The more people that become infected in Africa with no apparent cure, the more affected African countries look up to the ‘all powerful. all knowing’ Americans for a solution. If they get any hint that someone is trying to sabotage their plan by coming out with a cure the person’s life is in danger….Question? Why did America give Zmapp to Liberia? Doesn’t that sound like a sort of compensation for a Liberian/American citizen? Also knowing that America is Liberia’s colonial master. The only people I blame are our greedy and clueless so called leaders who are only in power for their selfish reasons. Sometimes I wonder what they talk about at their meetings. SMH.

NanoSilver is an anti-bacterial drug… meaning it cannot work to fight a virus… It is simply impossible.

However what it can do is strengthen the immune system- as Ebola Virus attacks it.

Much like a comatose patient on life support, it is a desperate attempt to sustain one’s life-

However Science has shown that NanoSilver has a toxic potency… it is likely that while one may not die from Ebola while on Nanosilver, one may indeed die from NanoSilver’s adverse effects.

    So which is better?

Jonathan’s government has GOT TO GO…

They cannot keep deliberately misinforming the citizens in a democracy. #WTF?

First one of their Ministers came out to say there is no Ebola in Nigeria.. Even though we had cases in Lagos.

Just like they denied BokoHaram’s existence, or the kidnapping of the girls

This government is just useless and needs to go before the Military takes over
