9ice Shares Bottles of Palm Oil, Palm Wine & Water for 2015 Electoral Campaign

Adesola Ade-Unuigbe

9iceRapper 9ice is taking all necessary steps with his 2015 campaign for a seat in the Oyo State House of Assembly.

The entertainer released new campaign pictures a few days ago (click here if you missed it) and has taken to the streets to share branded bottles of Palm Oil as an additional step with his political campaign.

9ice shared pictures of the bottles on Instgram page and captioned the pictures, “LeolasRamas loke loke la ma ma lo”.

9ice is certainly not the first politician to share food to potential voters. A few weeks ago newly elected Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose also shared bags of rice with a few people living in Ekiti State.

9ice also had a branded bus to share his electoral campaign goodies.

This is funny but well done. The palmwine and water would have come in handy on voting days.

I don’t have a problem with politicians distributing food to their potential voters. My problem is giving it when it’s almost time for the election. I would have liked to see him giving out food and doing community service, at least a year before even without announcing that he was thinking about running for office. I know you are trying to buy their votes but let’s not make it so obvious.

It’s obvious he is trying to buy votes which is not a bad thing on it’s own. Just like Beeeeee said, the timing is wrong. Before now, what has 9ice done for his immediate community in terms of social responsibility? It’s obvious, politics is just another way for him to make more money as he doesn’t make good songs anymore. Gullible naijas will collect the free gifts and when he gets into office, he will forget about them and enrich his pocket…..

It’s a shame that this generation has inherited corruption from the older leaders still in power….Chop make I chop politics is not the way out of our present predicament in Nigeria….

He still makes excellent songs just as he has always done. Those that have ears for music know that Asa,9ice, Banky, Darey and maybe Tuface when he sings reggae are about the only real talented musicians we have. However, Nigerian youths prefer the party mix that just anyone can make up.

Bribery is ingrained into this society, to the extent that someone will put their face on bags of rice, water, drinks e.t.c and hand them out (for free most likely). Only in Nigeria.

Whoever thought 9ice had something to offer before is the greatest joker of all times. Has he ever appeared to you like a responsible young man who can drive change? Go and check up leaders who have made changes in their generation, first their homes and lives will be in order. That is obviously absent in this guy’s life.
