IBBFormer President Ibrahim Babangida has described President Goodluck Jonathan as a dependable leader for the country.

He stated this on Tuesday when he played host to Jonathan and his campaign entourage in Minna.

The former military leader said Jonathan was a leader who would continue with the dreams of the country’s founding fathers.

Babangida said he shared the same passion of peaceful, stable and developed Nigeria with Jonathan.

He added that whenever I discussed with him, I see a young man who has passion for Nigeria. Under Jonathan, Nigeria is in safe hands.

“All the presidents that this country has produced have come to Minna for blessings and today that you have come, I will offer you blessings.’’

Earlier, Jonathan had described Babangida as a dependable pillar in ensuring continued peace and stability of the country.

He said “as a deputy governor, you took me as a son and since I came on board as Vice President till date, you have been a pillar and a charismatic leader. You have been a stabilizing factor in this country in many ways.

“You are not like some other past leaders. We pray for long life for you so that you can continue to mentor the country and to give rightful direction to us.’’

The President later visited the palace of the Emir of Minna, Alhaji Umar Bahago, where he solicited the support and cooperation of the royal father.

He said he would continue with the development strides in the areas of transport, power, education and general infrastructure.

Bahago pledged the support of his emirate for Jonathan, adding that the electoral reforms put in place would ensure peace and progress of the country.

    LET’S MOVE FORWARD TOGETHER

Nigerians are lucky to have a President who is undoubtedly a transformer. His open-door policy and his good works are not in doubt. He appointed young and resourceful people to transform the Agricultural, Transportation and Education sector. Today, agriculture is taking its place as a major alternative to oil in our economy.
We cannot quantify the achievement in the transport sector with the reformation currently ongoing. A world-class railway is being built across the country, his achievements in stamping out Ebola from Nigeria is truly unprecedented. N220billion Loans are now available at cheap rates for SMEs. Every sector of the economy has been touched by his transformation agenda. Jonathan is working!
We have a choice to make.
    Let’s make the right one

No General is gonna want to vote or openly endorse Sai, they all know he would come for every corrupt officer/ government official, right now for most politicians, GEJ is d lesser of 2 evils. u wont catch BABA endorsing any1, he will openly welcome you to his Home, but open his mouth and say u are my candidate. anyways IBB mayb playing a game, i mean he is the one that openly called himself d “Evil Genius”. we are watching.
My concern with Nigeria refusing to giv international reports visa’s into the country during this elections further spells that they (government) are well aware that s**t is gonna go down, so best not have foreign casualties.

IBB lost his relevance years ago. He is just looking for a future for his children as he approaches death himself. This election will not be a repeat of his June 12 legacy. His boys are the ones running the villa a la dasuki and def. minister. They put us in the very mess we are in today! Remember people-do the Needful-Vote and let it count!

Over 120 Almajiri schools build by our GEJ administration in all academically disadvantaged northern part of the country and 9 good federal University in all Nigerian State, that’s more reason to vote him again.

Why should the government build Al Majiri schools? Is government not supposed to be secular? Does it build any Christian or African Traditional Religion schools? Nonsense!

Under President Jonathan electoral integrity has been greatly enhanced, thus making votes to count and be counted. Our people now hold their opinions freely without being herded into prisons as some people now seeking the votes of Nigerians did in the past.

It is indeed, the irony of life and the beauty of democracy that those now enjoying the rights of criticising the government, seeking to be voted for in an election are the very people that truncated an elected government, suspended the constitution, jailed politicians without due trial and shackled the press! Our president and candidate, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan is a democrat through and through and does not come with any of such baggage.

@ Enumah …. is a good thing you made these points for younger Nigerians who were not born before 1983 and who are now being served today by the opposition with a distorted history of the truncating of Nigeria’s Second Republic. President Jonathan is a beacon of hope and restoration.
