Alhaji Kabiru Mashi

President Goodluck Jonathan has fired Executive Chairman of Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) Alhaji Kabiru Mashi, who has served in the position since 2012, and has approved the appointment of Samuel Ogungbesan as Acting Executive Chairman.

Ogungbesan was a Coordinating Director at FIRS, Premium Times reports.

Details about why Mashi was sacked are yet to be revealed.
