I knew it. I knew she’ll do something like this, be different. See why I love ivie, she always have to be different, see her feet. Love ivie. Since genny has STOPPED ACTING, this babe is my new found favorite. Great actress. A huge force to be reckoned with. If you have never watched her act start with movie BURNING DESIRE

I didn’t notice until the comments. Nice. I need inspiration to be myself sometimes (living in Lagos, it’s all about not being yourself, no be so?) and this inspired me.

I love love love the fact that she pleased herself on her big day. That is how it should be. From d look of things she had fun. Most people end up feeding the nation, Mother’s Union, Father’s association members, village meeting etc on their big day when in actual fact they don’t even know 3/4 of the people they fed. They compete to wear Vera Wang, IDS etc while feeling uncomfortable all day long. A bride should not be uncomfortable on her day just becos. She should dress as she please just becos! HML to the new Mr & Mrs.

    Lovely but the shoes….
Shes trying too hard to be different, its unnecessary ur wedding day is one day u get to act really ladylike. Her footwear idea is bullshit joo

And what if being “ladylike” according to you is not what will make her happy. Why call someone’s outfit bullshit, I have known this girl for years and this is just who she is. She does not need to wear anything to please you or others, she is happy with what she chose, and that is all that matters. Everybody must not do what you like.

oh please! spare the young lady abeg! sneakers are actually starting to be the “in” thing for brides at weddings now. regardless of the trend sef, its what she wanted to wear. Deal with it!

Shes trying to tell yall she’s a Tom boy at heart, always has been hence the sneakers. I like her individuality whhich reminds of Solange. At end of the day she married her sweet heart and best friend of 10yrs. Hml ivie

Hmmmm… Doubt it. She has always come across as someone with a clear sense of her own individuality; and she has enough natural grace to pull it off

  27. Ginika

    April 19, 2015 at 1:26 pm

    Some skin grating comments!

How can you be trying too hard when you do something that comes naturally to you?! There are some ladies who are tomboys at heart and have always been since their childhood days. They blossom into more comfortable versions and definitions of themselves as they get older. The same way their polar opposites have always been ‘super girly’ girls since their childhood days. Best recognise she isnt trying too hard! Respect her choice, its her wedding, her food and cake et al.

    Congrats Ivie!

I love people like this, Nigerians can like to judge, if it was beyonce next day its trending………….is there any rule that specifies the type of shoes to wear on ur wedding day, even if there is there is always an exception to any rule

HML Ivie! She is a stunning bride no doubt!

I can understand the dare to be different slogan here, but seriously wear something that fits the sneakers, don’t go trad with everything else but different with the shoes. her reception look i can deal with but the trad is just tacky…..
